POWER-TRIPPING PASTORS

by Bill Kochman

Well, it’s my way or the highway,
Certain preachers like to say,
Just dare to disagree with him,
And in his church you can’t stay.

Oh they love their little cliques,
Where everyone nods their head,
They are “yes” men all the way,
But are they spiritually dead?

Like sardines squished in a can,
They all walk and talk the same,
Their pastor is quite infallible,
At least so they like to claim.

More like spiritual dictators,
Is what some really seem to be,
No thank you, I think I’ll pass,
God’s Word has made me free.
