PRIDE AND DECEPTION

by Bill Kochman

11-11-2014

Perhaps one day you’ll realize,
After God’s cut you down to size,
Nothing is hidden from His eyes,
He can see through all your lies.

Though you think you’re so wise,
Crafting so many foolish alibis,
Your deception is no disguise,
Wake up now or He will chastise.

So when your pride begins to rise,
Becomes so big it hits the skies,
And even though the Devil tries,
Humble yourself before the Lord.
