PRIDE WILL KILL YOU

Your pride is going to kill you,
I hope you will come to realize,
God so desires to reach you,
But you listen to Satan’s lies.
You built up your logical wall,
Convinced it’s a good defense,
But the Lord refuses to buy it,
Just drop your proud pretense.
You say you are a good person,
Who has no need for the Lord,
Your righteousness really stinks,
So I suggest you hop on board.
It is only by the Blood of Jesus,
We’re made clean in God’s sight,
Your own efforts are worthless,
They will never make you right.
Please do not keep on resisting,
Your time may soon grow short,
And suddenly before you know it,
You’ll be standing in God’s court.
Now when that court date arrives,
You’ll account for the life you led,
And the things you say that day,
May land you in a hot lake instead.
Yes, although it will be so tragic,
At last you’ll clearly come to see,
It would’ve been so much better,
If you had simply bent your knee.
But, no, you chose to resist Him,
Even mocking the ones God sent,
You drove them out of your life,
And you refused to ever repent.
Please don’t let this be your story,
Take heed to what I share today,
Jesus is waiting to redeem you,
Get down on your knees and pray.
