SCALES NO MORE

I am sorry to have to tell you,
But you are believing in a lie,
Tho you don’t want to hear it,
I’m compelled to tell you why.
I see your posts quite often,
So I know just how you think,
As far as the Lord returning,
You claim we are on the brink.
Yes, I know you are so excited,
You truly believe what you say,
But it is a false expectation,
Because Jesus isn’t on the way.
Like so many other Christians,
Futurism has you so deceived,
I once thought exactly like you,
To false doctrines I too cleaved.
Indeed, I was totally convinced,
Because that’s what I had heard,
But the teachings I had learned,
Were not grounded in the Word.
After many years of deception,
God chose to open both my eyes,
My understanding was so blind,
Lord, I was really quite surprised.
Now, when I dug into the Bible,
Some verses really spoke to me,
They ripped away those scales,
So at last I am now able to see.
