SKINNY SOUL

by Bill Kochman

11-19-2017

He was a man of the world,
Who acquired fortune & fame,
He spent his entire life,
Just to make himself a name.

Sparing nothing and no one,
He climbed to the very top,
But one night a heart attack,
Brought his sad life to a stop.

Thus He bowed before God,
A wretched, skinny old soul,
Deceived by worldly pursuits,
He’d missed the greatest goal.
