SNAKES IN THE GRASS

by Bill Kochman

03-25-2019

They’re all snakes in the grass,
Obsessed with looking for blood,
Watch them foolishly pushing on,
Though collusion was just a dud.

What is wrong with those people?
Their hatred just runs so deep,
They better stop their behavior,
Or their power they will not keep.

For many months they were at it,
Hoping to bring down the US pres,
Rejecting the wisdom of others,
Ignoring what anyone else says.

Most Americans are so very tired,
Of the divisions caused by snakes,
The nation needs time to heal now,
But those serpents give no breaks.

So as 2020 draws even more closer,
More desperate they grow each day,
What vile deed will they try next?
“Please stop them!” to God I pray.

It is so foolish to try to undo,
What the Lord has apparently done,
If we truly believe God’s Word,
Then Donald Trump must be the one.

For God alone raises up leaders,
In order for His plans to fulfill,
And though snakes may not like it,
They need to swallow a bitter pill.

For to stand in the Almighty’s way,
Invites trouble with the Most High,
If you mess with God’s anointed,
It is like poking Him in the eye.
