THE MIGRATION
by Bill Kochman
09-30-2020
With a loud and mighty roar,
Thus a great migration began,
Hoping to find real freedom,
They all sought a better land.
Oppressed by the Blue Tyrant,
Alas, those slaves had enough,
So toward the land of Red King,
Tho at first it would be rough.
Angered by this new challenger,
Blue Tyrant chose to go to war,
He quickly called up his allies,
He’d knock down Red King’s door.
Oh how fierce were the battles,
Red King’s walls did so shake,
But tho hard Blue Tyrant tried,
Red King he could not overtake.
All the people were so relieved,
That the Red King had prevailed,
They even established a holiday,
To remember the day they rebelled.
As for that jealous Blue Tyrant,
His dark kingdom just faded away,
It was because of his oppression,
That so many chose not to stay.
