THE WALL

by Bill Kochman

01-06-2019

Divided down the middle,
A very sad tale indeed,
So many want the wall,
While others see no need.

A country so torn apart,
Hot tempers on every side,
So much ugly language,
It makes one want to hide.

Trump and Nancy posture,
But no one wants to budge,
The Dems need to get over,
Their silly 2016 grudge.

Jesus gave us a warning,
Divided houses cannot stand,
But pols keep on bickering,
What don’t they understand?

The nation’s in real danger,
From without & from within,
It’s time to mend the fence,
Lest something worse begin.

We have a right to safety,
Our borders well patrolled,
Excuses from those Dems,
Are just really growing old.

So just stop all the circus,
And put the people first,
If we don’t fix immigration,
The dam may someday burst.
