THINK DIFFERENT?

by Bill Kochman

Apple no longer thinks different,
Does it really even think at all?
When I look at the user interface,
I bang my head against the wall.

Design decisions Apple made,
Really leave me so perplexed,
Things don’t make any sense,
Man, I just feel so really vexed.

Now take the hard drive icon,
It was shiny, metallic & bright
But as for that dull new thing,
I wish it would just take flight.

Then there’s also Disk Utility,
It had a stethoscope & drive,
New icon lacks imagination,
Off a cliff it should take a dive.

So turning to Apple’s Mail app,
Again I’m scratching my head,
Archive & Trash side-by-side,
Apart would be better instead.

Next, all the rounded corners.
They serve no function at all,
Was Apple sleeping on the job?
That was not a very smart call.

Apple, tell me what’s going on,
You were once so cutting edge,
But with the release of Tahoe,
You are standing on the ledge.

Your grapes have all gone sour,
You’re not making a good wine,
Move fast and fix the situation,
Or stand at the end of the line.
