THOSE STUPID TV EXECS

by Bill Kochman

Some TV execs think they’re gods,
They don’t care what viewers think,
So they’ll cancel some great show,
Even tho it may cause a huge stink.

They look closely at the numbers,
Is it really earning a good profit,
But if that show is not a cash cow,
Well, adios, they will simply off it.

So it is for this reason we all know,
TV shows may come to an abrupt end,
They care about earning big bucks,
So why should we even try to pretend?

Yes, suddenly and disappointingly,
Our fave show could bite the dust,
No matter how invested we may be,
It could still belly up and then bust.

And so such is life for the TV addict,
It may be one letdown after another,
Thus I must ask you with all sincerity,
Friend, why do you really even bother?
