TIRED OF FALSE PROPHETS

I am tired of false prophets,
Who speak from their own minds,
They claim they talk for God,
But they wear spiritual blinds.
They promise political victory,
God will bless my coming year,
Of one thing I am most certain,
From the Lord they do not hear.
They say Jesus is coming soon,
Yes I’ve heard it for fifty years,
But all their failed prophecies,
Bring so many people to tears.
The Lord warned us about them,
You will find it in Matthew 7,
If these deceivers approach you,
Beware of their false leaven.
God’s Word speaks so plainly,
So don’t be left in the dark,
It says a true Prophet of God,
Will just never miss the mark.
His words will come to pass,
Of this we can be most sure,
But as for all those others,
We should simply just ignore.
