TRAP OR CAGE?

The Trump trap and Kamala cage,
Both are now a big political rage.
They pretend to give us a choice,
Go ahead and choose your voice.
You are convinced you’re so free,
But our rulers know it’s a fantasy.
Stage puppets meant to amuse,
They don’t care about your views.
But the great illusion has to go on,
So the elitists string us all along.
Your party goes to one extreme,
The opposite of that other team.
Oh how swell the game plays out,
Do you know what it is all about?
Yes it’s just controlled opposition,
It never changes your condition.
You work hard and pay every bill,
So why is your life still so uphill?
We are peons to an unseen hand,
Money is their power in this land.
Cogs in their machinery that is us,
Do your job and don’t make a fuss.
Throwing crumbs to keep us alive,
But most people will never thrive.
Thus politics is to offer you hope.
It’s time to wake up you silly dope.
