TURN OFF THAT SPIGOT?

Will someone turn off that spigot,
We’ve got a really major overflow,
But that’s the way of God’s Spirit,
Well, just in case you didn’t know.

Once God opens a mighty faucet,
Living waters stream like a firth,
I hope you’ve got lots of buckets,
To catch it for all you are worth.

Such is God’s Divine Inspiration,
It knows no boundary or any end,
It fills you until you bubble over,
From Heaven it does descend.

Reaching out to folks around you,
It touches lives by what you say,
Inspiring them to serve God better,
Till He takes them home some day.

It fills you with Heavenly Wisdom,
So you’ll teach His holy Word right,
And when it brings forth good fruit,
It is very pleasing in God’s sight.

Now if life’s troubles confound you,
The same Spirit comforts your soul,
It binds the wounds that pain you,
Making your life once again whole.

So thank God for wonderful Spirit,
Which helps us in so many a way,
It is indeed ours for the asking,
If we’ll just take the time to pray.
