MANOS A LA OBRA
by Bill Kochman
09-11-2014
Someday we shall surely take our rest,
But now is indeed not that day,
The Lord has given us a job to do,
Our first duty is His Will to obey.
There are so many things in this life,
Which strive to keep us from our task,
He gives us Grace to endure the test,
All we really have to do is ask.
Strength for the hour, faith for the day,
It is really such a simple equation,
Just keeping our eyes upon the Lord,
Will result in a grandiose occasion.
NOTE: "Manos a la obra" is a Spanish phrase. Literally, it means "hands to the task", or "hands to the work". Translated into American English jargon, it would be "Let's get to work", "Get to work" or "Back to work".
