The following article is primarily directed to whiny liberal Democrats and other radicals who as of late have been loudly and incessantly complaining about ICE -- US Immigration and Customs Enforcement -- and also about the CBP -- US Customs and Border Protection -- Tom Homan -- America's so-called US Border Czar -- Kristi Noem, the National Guard, et al, who are currently trying their best to take back control of our country by removing as many illegal and dangerous elements from our nation as possible. Tragically, the protests from these extremists have sadly escalated to the point of open violence, and have involved a growing number of deaths. To America's own embarrassment, some of the most vociferous protesters now include members of Congress, state governors and city mayors who are instructing their constituents to defy ICE and related agencies.
Now before my critics begin to accuse me of being callous, cold-hearted, uncaring, or whatever other colorful words they choose to throw in my direction, allow me to point out that being rather poor myself -- besides being elderly and in slowly failing health -- I completely understand, and I sympathize with the plight of the poor and the oppressed in America. It is in fact for this very reason that back in 2017 I authored a four-part series entitled "What About the Poor?", which you will find listed at the end of this same article with a clickable link. I encourage you to read it.
While all of the current Left-leaning protesters have been screaming about how poorly illegal immigrants are allegedly being treated by ICE, CBP or other related agencies, one point I make in the aforementioned series is that based on what we are told in the Bible, America's primary obligation is to its own legal citizens and constituents FIRST, and NOT to the illegal aliens who sneak across our borders, or who intentionally overstay their visas. In particular, consider the following Bible verse:
"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."
1 Timothy 5:8, KJV
Please carefully notice what the verse says: HIS OWN HOUSE. Looking at this verse on a national level, the word "his" can mean the government of the United States, and the words "his own house" can mean the legal citizens of the United States of America. If an illegal alien sneaks into the USA, he is NOT really a member of our American household. He is in fact an invader. He's really no different than the thief Jesus mentioned in the tenth chapter of the Gospel of John who found a different way -- other than the legal way -- to sneak into the sheepfold. The Lord said that person was a thief and a robber. As you will see momentarily, this point is quite relevant to our current discussion. Consider the following verse:
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."
John 10:1, KJV
Tell me something, my friends. If a thief breaks into your home while you are away or sleeping, does the fact that he snuck into your home give him the right to take whatever he finds in your home? Of course not! Are you starting to get the picture yet? It is really rather simple and clear, isn't it? While it shouldn't really be necessary for me to have to do this -- being as law-abiding American citizens should already know these things -- in the following paragraphs, I am going to provide a very simplified explanation regarding how not only our own American system is supposed to work, but how the world in general works as well.
It is common knowledge that every free nation on this planet has a body of laws -- usually in the form of a constitution or similar legal document -- which are used to protect its citizens from all manner of harm, to ensure a peaceful and ordered society, and to guard and defend the sovereignty of that nation from any and all entities which may seek to harm or disrupt it in any way. This body of laws is meant to be respected and obeyed not only by the citizens of that nation for their own good and well-being, but also by any and all foreigners who may be given legal permission to enter that nation for a specified period of time, in order to lawfully engage in whatever activities may be permitted by their particular type of entry visa.
To ensure that this body of laws is properly implemented, executed, respected and obeyed by all concerned parties who are under their jurisdiction, governments likewise create certain agencies and institutions to enforce them on a fair and equal basis. This is referred to as the rule of law. In the case of the United States, this includes our nationwide system of courts, as well as federal and local police forces, the National Guard, ICE, CBP, etc. The previously-described legal structure is the recognized standard procedure for all free countries in the world. It is in fact the established international norm which has stood the test of time, and it obviously works most of the time. If it did not work as intended, then anarchy would currently be ruling the world.
Furthermore, what a lot of people fail to recognize -- this particularly applies to non-Christians -- is the fact that this type of system of governance was actually designed by God Himself for the benefit of humanity. After all, since the Book of Genesis, He has known what dwells in the hearts of unregenerate men. That is precisely why He found it so necessary to put a control mechanism in place so that most of us would behave the way that we are supposed to behave. This control system began with the Levitical Law and the Mosaic Law which were instituted during the Old Testament period, and even today, thousands of years later, many of humanity's laws are STILL based on this same moral code of conduct. Regarding what is found in the unregenerate heart of man, allow me to share the following set of verses with you:
"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
Genesis 6:5, KJV
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"
Jeremiah 17:9, KJV
"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man."
Matthew 15:18-20, KJV
"And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."
Mark 7:20-23, KJV
Thus we see that it is because of man's natural propensity for committing evil, that for thousands of years now, God has had a system of governance and laws in place, to not only motivate us to keep in line, but also to punish those who choose to defy His established norm. That this is so can also easily be confirmed by Bible verses such as the following:
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake."
Romans 13:1-5, KJV
"These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men."
Titus 2:15-3:2, KJV
"Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."
1 Peter 2:11-17, KJV
"Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing."
Matthew 5:25-26, KJV
"They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's."
Matthew 22:21, KJV
"And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him."
Mark 12:17, KJV
"And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."
Luke 20:25, KJV
"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."
Romans 12:18, KJV
In light of the previous set of Bible verses, our personal moral obligations to both king and country should be rather evident. As I explain in other articles, the ONLY time when we Christians should defy the powers that be is when they choose to interfere with our duties to God, which always come first. Why so? Because the Laws of God take precedence over the laws of man. Thus, when the Apostles were ordered to stop preaching in the name of Jesus Christ, they chose to respond by saying the following:
"Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
Acts 5:29, KJV
Sadly, in the United States today, there are certain people who either out of personal ignorance fail to grasp how this legal system works, or else who intentionally and knowingly rebel against it, and who choose to feign ignorance to it, for the sole purpose of promoting chaos, confusion, civil unrest and anarchy within our country. In fact, as we have already seen, these troublemakers actually side with the enemy who does everything in its power so as to get around the established norm, in order that they might engage in activities which are contrary to the good and well-being of our people and nation. As I mentioned earlier, such people are similar to the thief who Jesus mentioned in John 10.
Obviously, there's really no need for me to name any specific names, because I am sure that many of my readers will already understand exactly who and what I am talking about, because we see these things happening around us right now. This evil has already come to some of our own towns and cities, just as it has done so in the past. Exactly how far it will go this time remains to be seen. President Trump does not seem to be very long on patience this time around, and neither do the men and women who are responsible for maintaining order in our country.
Tragically, as I mentioned to you earlier, this current wave of protest and violence is being openly supported by some of our local leaders who are supposed to be protecting us, but who instead have turned against their own federal government, and openly sided with the enemy, supposedly in the name of freedom. However, are they really promoting freedom, or is it actually leading to uncontrolled anarchy in order to try to bring down the government of Donald J. Trump?
Earlier today, as I was contemplating the events which have transpired in recent months, I was reminded of how Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks used similar tactics, and instigated civil unrest in the streets of Russia in order to bring down the reign of Russia's final emperor, Nicholas II. This is not to say that Nicholas II had not committed some rather serious blunders during his rule -- some historians agree that he did -- yet still, the manipulative Bolsheviks took advantage of that situation, just as America's modern "Bolsheviks" seem to be doing the very same thing right now.
What actually motivated me to write this article was a post I read earlier this morning on the very liberal social network, Bluesky, where I have an account. Even though I identify as a Bible-believing Conservative Christian, I opened an account in order to give the liberals there an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To my surprise, currently, I have 260 followers on that social network. If you are likewise a Christian, then you will probably already understand why it may be viewed by some people as a bold move for any Christian to join Bluesky, knowing what kind of den of snakes they are walking into. Personally, I just block anyone who tries to interfere with what I am trying to accomplish there.
At any rate, in the aforementioned Bluesky post, the author mentioned the Ten Commandments -- as found in the Book of Exodus -- and he reminded Christians that they are supposed to live by those same Commandments. Please understand that this liberal person's comment was NOT posted as a friendly reminder, but rather as a sharp jab and a personal attack and criticism against Christians. In other words, his comment was apparently meant to expose Christian hypocrisy. To drive the point home, this same author informed his potential readers that if they were to continue reading further in the Book of Exodus, they would discover certain chapters which discuss how the Israelites were not supposed to mistreat or oppress the foreigners who dwelt in their midst.
Once again, to be clear, the reason why the author of this Bluesky post mentioned these chapters was NOT to offer a gentle reminder. Rather, it was to use the chapters as a weapon of attack against the aforementioned U.S. government agencies and institutions, and to accuse them -- and anyone else who supports what they are doing -- of being guilty of mistreating and oppressing foreigners within the American homeland.
For those of my readers who may still not understand, what the author of that Bluesky post -- and other Left-leaning American radicals -- was actually saying, is that catching and deporting people who INTENTIONALLY break our laws by ILLEGALLY entering our country -- some of whom eventually commit unpardonable acts of violence, fraud, etc. -- is supposedly mistreating and oppressing them. Oh really? I don't know about you, but I find such statements rather ludicrous. In my view, it is really rather simple. If you don't want to be treated roughly, then simply don't enter our country illegally and do the wicked things that some of you do. Problem solved.
Sadly, to these misguided American liberals, it does NOT seem to matter that said illegal aliens intentionally broke our laws, and possibly did worse after breaking into our country. Such liberals seem to want to ignore and turn a blind eye to that glaring fact, and have chosen to point their accusatory finger instead at the brave men and women who are employed by the aforementioned agencies and institutions, who are simply trying to enforce the laws of our country -- exactly as they were hired to do -- in order to protect us. They are simply trying to uphold our laws, as I described to you earlier.
In short, my friends, these socialist-leaning liberals have totally twisted the real narrative. They're accusing members of ICE, CBP, etc., of being the villains, while at the same time, they are painting the illegal aliens -- who sometimes commit atrocious acts against us -- as the victims. Sadly, certain Americans have apparently become very deceived by the liberals' tactics, which is exactly what they want to happen. They want to instigate chaos in our streets. They want to bring down the administration of Donald J. Trump. In fact, if you have been paying close attention to what they've been saying and doing in recent days, there's now another attempt to try to impeach President Trump. How far it will go this time remains to be seen.
Now, for the sake of honesty and transparency, I will come right out and clearly tell you that I don't listen to, watch or read every single news report that is published. Unless an article really catches my attention, and appears to be important, significant and relevant in the overall scheme of things, I will limit my time to simply reading its headline. In short, unlike a lot of naive and gullible people, I don't rush to YouTube and watch every juicy video that happens to be advertised on the social networks.
Not only do I not have time for that kind of nonsense, but in today's climate of political polarization where most of the mainstream media has been taken over by liberal forces, and where Artificial Intelligence has been saturating the online world with bogus information and blatant deception, I find most news reports to be rather sickening, untrustworthy and unreliable anyway. The level of gaslighting and psychological manipulation is enough to make any sane person turn away from it. Furthermore, it also leaves one very confused concerning exactly what the truth is, which is also what they want to happen. In other words, they want to keep us off balance and under a cloud.
Having said all of the above, regarding the alleged violence which has supposedly been committed by the aforementioned government agencies, I will limit myself to simply saying the following. Concerning the various negative reports regarding ICE and CBP which have surfaced in recent months, I honestly don't know how much of it can be trusted. I am obviously not there on the ground when these controversial incidents occur, and neither are most of you. As such, we really don't know all of the facts. All we know is what the mainstream media tells us, whether the source is online or offline. It really comes down to a "he said, she said" situation in some cases. So my advice is that you take everything with a grain of salt, and don't allow yourself to become deceived, or swept away by all of the sensationalism which now fills the daily news cycle. They are trying to manipulate you and influence your world view. You need to know that.
Furthermore, if any of the accused parties are truly guilty of those things which have been said concerning them, then I obviously agree that they should be punished in accordance with the laws which apply to each individual case, but only after guilt has been clearly established in a court of law. The fact of the matter is that in the heat of the moment, emotions can run very high. In such situations, when they are under extreme pressure, people do have a propensity for making rapid, unwise decisions, which may possibly lead to actions which they will regret later. Whether or not this is what happened in the reported ICE cases, I really do not know, and neither do you.
If there is one thing that I do know, it is that due to our own ego, pride and fallen nature, we human beings have a built-in inclination for self-preservation. Thus, there are times when even though we fully realize that we are wrong, or have done something wrong, we will do everything within our power to protect ourselves. We will lie, deceive and invent. We will pass the buck and blame someone else for our failure or mistake. That is life on planet Earth. In short, not knowing all the facts, I will not pass judgment on any of the accused individuals. I will leave that to the human institutions which are responsible for sorting things out.
Returning to the Bluesky comment which motivated me to begin writing this current article earlier today, to be honest, I immediately recognized a clear case of hypocrisy in that individual's comments. While he was quite apparently trying to use the Ten Commandments as a weapon against Christians, what he appears to not know -- or more likely intentionally chose to ignore -- is the fact that the Eighth Commandment very clearly states "Thou shalt not steal." In other words, that foolish liberal walked into his own verbal trap without even realizing it. Allow me to explain what I mean by this.
My dear friends, as I explain in a number of my other Bill's Bible Basics articles where I discuss this same topic, aside from all of the violence and the very evil deeds in which some illegal immigrants engage, another byproduct of their illegal presence in our country is that they also steal jobs which bona fide American citizens desperately need and which they rightly deserve. After all, shouldn't the needs of our own American citizens come first in our own country? Should we be made to feel guilty because we believe this way and only want what is rightfully ours? Please remember the verse I shared with you earlier where I informed you that just as a man is responsible for the safety and the well-being of his own family members first, in similar fashion, a national government is also responsible for its own citizens first, and not for any illegal aliens who may enter the country.
Yet that is EXACTLY what the liberals are trying to do. In other words, they want bona fide American citizens to feel guilty for simply demanding our fair share of the American pie. Look how often they accuse us of being "privileged", even though in a lot of cases, we are quite poor, and most certainly not ahead of anybody else. In fact, in some cases, they want us to feel guilty for even being White, and they quite often throw around the "white supremacy" label to try to drive home the point. I mean, it is utterly ridiculous the length to which some of those Left-leaning radicals are willing to go in order to try to break the American spirit, and to hang a yoke of guilt around our necks. In their eyes, we supposedly owe the illegal immigrants an apology.
As some of you will know, we have seen the very same thing happening with BLM -- Black Lives Matter. Some of those people are demanding financial reparations for events which occurred long before any of us were even born. These are the very same people who have wreaked havoc in American cities, stolen from businesses in broad daylight, set vehicles and tires on fire, battled with the law enforcement, and committed other violent nonsense. So maybe we should start demanding reparations from them! Sorry, but as a White American who wasn't even alive yet when slavery tore through the south states, you won't get any apology from me! Go lay your guilt trip on someone else who is more gullible! I am not interested!
Returning to the Eighth Commandment "Thou shalt not steal", taking jobs from bona fide American citizens who actually deserve and need them is NOT the only act of theft in which illegal aliens are engaged. Of course, by taking our jobs, they are also taking money out of our pockets. Even worse, some illegal aliens are paid under the table and in cash. I obviously don't know what percentage of illegal immigrants this occurs with -- I imagine it is a common practice -- but regardless, it does mean that they are not paying their fair share of taxes, which increases the burden on everyone else.
But that is not all. Many illegal immigrants also receive Welfare, Medicaid, MIP, Food Stamps/SNAP benefits as well as housing subsidies. All of these undeserved public assistance benefits which go to illegal aliens place an extra burden on and strain America's delicate social infrastructure -- which is meant for bona fide American citizens -- which is already stretched to the limits. At least that is what they tell us. For example, just look at how Social Security and Medicare have been repeatedly threatened in recent years, as well as the draconian measures which are now being considered in order to supposedly save both programs. Perhaps if so much money was not being poured into assisting the illegals in our country, and redirected to these two programs instead, they would not now be in such a precarious condition. Who knows. I am not an economist, so take this with a grain of salt.
As I have mentioned a number of times before, while all of these liberals and Democrats whine and complain about how the Trump administration has taken rather strong, decisive steps to curb, and in fact to stop illegal entry into our country, I really have to wonder how many of these liberal cry babies have ever attempted to enter another country -- particularly Mexico -- illegally. Do any of you delusional liberals really think that Mexico -- or any other country for that matter -- would allow this? Not in your life! As far as I know, the United States of America is the only country that has such porous, open borders. It is really quite ridiculous -- not to mention dangerous -- and the liberals who support such lax policies are just as ridiculous!
But that is not all, my friends. Unlike in the USA where the immigrants already know in advance that they can apply for all kind of free public benefits if they're able to meet the necessary requirements, immigration policy in other nations is more strict. I speak from my personal experiences, having spent extended time in a few foreign countries in previous decades. In such places, BEFORE they will even issue you a tourist visa, you must prove to the immigration authorities that you're able to fully financially support yourself while you are a guest in their nation. In other words, unlike what occurs in the United States on a grand scale, they do NOT want a person munching off of their economy. Thus, if you do not have the financial means to support yourself while you are in their country, they will NOT let you enter to begin with.
In short, if the United States government were to operate in a similar fashion by being more restrictive regarding who is allowed to pass through our ports of entry, instead of being like a piece of Swiss cheese with porous holes all over the place, I would think that the serious social and financial problems we are now in the midst of experiencing would NOT even exist. At the very least, they would be mitigated to some extent, and they would exist to a much smaller degree.
So in conclusion, regarding the person who made the Bluesky post where they tried to throw the Ten Commandments -- and other verses from Exodus -- in the face of Christians, my advice is that you stop being so hypocritical about it. In other words, apply the law fairly and equally, and remember that what is good for Americans, is good for everyone else as well. That is precisely what the rule of law is about. If you're going to throw the Ten Commandments in our face, make sure you also apply "Thou shalt not steal" to every illegal immigrant who steals from America everyday!
Allow me to offer one final piece of advice to any person who may be thinking about trying to enter the USA illegally. As Jesus said in the verses below, if you get caught due to your own stupidity, you have no right to complain, or to even ask for mercy. You knowingly broke the law. Therefore, if you get roughed up for resisting arrest, it is your own fault! if you are thrown in jail, don't expect to come out until you have paid your dues. If you get kicked out of the country, good riddance! STAY HOME! If you commit a crime that is even worse than just illegal entry, you deserve everything that is coming to you, and no one should have an ounce of pity on you. In short, if you cannot obey our laws, STAY HOME! If you are unwilling to assimilate into American society, then STAY HOME! As Jesus warned:
"Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing."
Matthew 5:25-26, KJV
