As I concluded in part one, at this current time, the Radical Left in the United States is painting as dark a picture as they possibly can, in the hope that it will result in Donald Trump's defeat in the upcoming November American presidential election. While the situation is definitely bad in the United States -- in large part due to the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic -- nevertheless, I am compelled to wonder if it is really as bad as they claim. Or, as I have already suggested, are Americans merely being gaslighted with a false narrative, with the ultimate goal of deceiving people so that they will be influenced to cast their vote for the Democrats' presidential nominee -- Joseph Biden -- instead of for Donald Trump, who is the incumbent?

One thing I will say is this: Do NOT trust the polls; because if there is one thing we should have learned from the 2016 presidential campaign, and even before that, it is that polls can be manipulated to produce the results which the pollster or political party desires, in order to give their political candidate a boost during the actual election process. Many of you will remember that based on the opinion of experienced pollsters, Donald Trump was forecast to suffer utter defeat at the hands of Hillary Clinton in 2016. We all know how that turned out. So don't let the gaslighters deceive you this time around, should you choose to participate in the voting process.

For those of you who may be interested, my personal opinion and views regarding the voting process, as well as the U.S. political system in general, are clearly spelled out in my series entitled "To Vote, or Not to Vote", the URL of which you will find listed at the end of this same article. While it is normally not my personal policy to take sides in such secular matters, I do feel compelled to break tradition and state just one thing: I don't see how any true God-fearing, Bible-believing Christian can in good conscience cast their vote for a presidential candidate who supports abortion and the gay and lesbian lifestyle. As I explain in a number of my other articles -- which are likewise listed below -- such support clearly contradicts the Holy Scriptures, and is an abomination to the Lord, who cherishes all life, and who frowns upon such sexual aberrations.

Furthermore, it has long been my belief that because of such rebellion, blatant defiance against God's Laws, and sins, one of these days, in God's chosen time, America will experience the Lord's full wrath, unless she repents of her wickedness. As I have stated many times before, it is extremely foolish for any nation or people to continually and figuratively poke their finger in God's eye, and expect to get away with it. It becomes clear in the Scriptures that the Lord will eventually rise, shake Himself, and pour out His judgments on the wicked.

Returning to the previous issue, regardless of what the true state in America may be right now, sadly, it seems that even certain online Christians have jumped onto the bandwagon of negativity. While these people are probably well-meaning in most cases, I find it troubling the way some of them choose to mix their personal politics with their -- in my opinion -- misguided interpretation of eschatology. In other words, with their misguided understanding of Bible prophecy.

As you may already be aware, so many of them are painting a negative picture and claiming that great darkness, suffering and turmoil is about to descend on the United States any day now. They warn that the Great Tribulation has already begun, or that it will begin soon, and that a terrible scourge of persecution is coming to the American Church in a matter of months. Some even add civil war into the mix. It all depends on who you choose to listen to. It just seems that there are so many contradictory ideas and beliefs being promoted right now. Sadly, the end result of this is confusion amongst the Lord's children. My friends, this is not right and ought not to be so. We need to pray, seek the Lord, and speak with one voice, because only one interpretation of the Scriptures can be true. The rest are just the products of our own deceptive hearts and imaginations.

Some of these well-meaning Christians are also claiming to have very vivid dreams, while others say that the Antichrist or Beast is about to make his appearance on the world stage, which will soon result in everyone being forced to receive the infamous Mark of the Beast. They insist that the 666 will be administered by way of the much-anticipated coronavirus vaccine. Then, of course, there is the long-held claim that the Lord will return soon, and that the Rapture is about to take place any day now. But are these interpretations true, and are these various ideas well-founded on the Scriptures?

My friends, I am fully aware of all of these different ideas and beliefs. After all, I have heard about them, read about them, studied them and written about them for the past fifty years. Furthermore, some of these misguided beliefs have been promoted by certain individuals since the 1800s, and yet they still have not happened. You need to ask yourself why this is so. Why has every prophecy, prediction and interpretation fallen on its face and failed to materialize?

My dear friends, I must candidly tell you that I see so much deception occurring right now, and it's really sad to behold. As I have pointed out before in some of the articles which are listed at the end of this article, it is a very serious matter to claim to be a Prophet of God, and to speak in the Name of the Lord. It is not something which should be taken lightly by anyone. Therefore, before you speak and share your prophecy, interpretation or dream, I urge you to make certain that it is of the Lord, because He will hold you accountable if you mislead His children.

Having said that, my advice to all of my readers is to take heed to the counsel which is found in the Scriptures, and to test the words of these modern-day, self-proclaimed prophets. Be very cautious regarding what and who you choose to listen to, read and study. Verify for yourself that their teachings conform to the Scriptures. Following are a group of verses which advise us to do this very thing:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."


"And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."


"Prove [test, examine] all things; hold fast that which is good."


"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."


"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."


"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."


"The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?"


"Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed."


"Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD."


"For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD."


"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."


"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many . . . For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."


"For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."


"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."


"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."


"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"


"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."


Returning to the issue of gaslighting and gaslighters, the irony of this situation is that the manipulators don't even realize that they themselves are also being manipulated by the Grand Manipulator and Father of Lies. That is, the Devil himself. As I have mentioned many times before, everything that occurs in our world is influenced by spiritual forces. These crafty human manipulators may think and believe that everything they are doing is the result of their own ideas and intelligence, but it is simply not so. In actuality, they are in tune with Satan and his minions. This profound truth becomes evident in verses such as the following:

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"


"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."


"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."


"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it . . . He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."


"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."


Notice how in John 8:44 above, Jesus tells His unbelieving Jewish enemies "the lusts of your father ye will do." In that verse, the word "lusts" is derived from the Koine Greek word "epithumia". According to Thayer's Greek English Lexicon, it means a desire, longing or craving; particularly for those things which are forbidden. A few verses earlier in that same chapter of the Gospel of John, the Lord also tells them the following:

"They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God."


Thus we see that the Lord is telling them that whether they realize it or not, they are performing the desires and works of their father, the Devil. Satan is their inspiration. As I mentioned a moment ago, the same exact thing continues to occur today as well. These powerful behind-the-scenes human movers and shakers who shape and influence world events are not truly in control. They are merely puppets who are being influenced and manipulated by the Devil and his vile horde. In contrast, the Scriptures also inform us that those of us who have accepted and follow the Lord are influenced by the Spirit of God, and He places His will and desires in our hearts, as we can determine by the following verse:

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."


Clearly then, there is a devilish origin to all of the lies, deception, spiritual darkness, confusion and violence which we see occurring in the world today. Satan, through his weak human vessels, is wreaking havoc on the Earth; and unless the Lord chooses to intervene, it will only continue to get worse. But regardless of what happens, and when it happens, we can have the confidence that God remains in control. And, because He is in control, we can have peace in our hearts, and know that He will protect His own, as we learned in part one of this article. Following are some additional verses for your personal consideration:

"The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence . . . As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him."


"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."


"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."


"The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them."


"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."


"I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust . . . A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee."


"Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield."


"The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?"


"[A Song of degrees.] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."


"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."


"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."


"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."


"‭‭No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue ‭that‭ shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This ‭is‭ the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness ‭is‭ of me, saith the LORD.‭"


"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
