BLESS THE FARMERS

by Bill Kochman

08-22-2014

To be a farmer is not so easy,
But it’s a blessing in disguise,
Farmers don’t see the pollution,
They watch a beautiful sunrise.

Dawn in the big city is so noisy,
Horns drown out your every word,
The farmer’s morning is splendid,
He hears a cricket, frog and bird.

A city night sky fills with neon,
As people flock to darkened bars,
The farmer thanks his God above,
For the planets, Moon and stars.
