CARPE DIEM

by Bill Kochman

12-26-2016

I was going to write a new poem,
How some scoff was to be its theme,
But alas, the words were forgotten,
And I could not complete this meme.

As I lay there in my bed resting,
Hoping the words would soon return,
I suddenly knew there was a lesson,
Which I could more clearly learn.

When God grants us an inspiration,
We should act quickly at all cost,
For if we delay in our obedience,
The opportunity may be forever lost.
