CHRISTMAS FIX

by Bill Kochman

12-06-2016

Christmas was shunned in America,
By Puritans until at least 1836,
So why are modern U.S. Christians,
Hung up on a yearly Christmas fix?

Jesus wasn’t born in cold December,
The RCC took a pagan Roman holiday,
It was the feast called Saturnalia,
When men were drunk, rowdy and gay.

Jesus can’t be put into Christmas,
He was never there from the start,
If you want to honor your Savior,
Then invite Him into your heart.
