JOURNEY TO HUMILITY

by Bill Kochman

10-18-2014

The journey was long, I played my card,
I tried it my way, it was oh so hard.
Time after time, I made a big mess,
I had no peace, I only knew stress.

I fell on my face, I laid in the dirt,
Somebody help me, take away my hurt.
I knew not then God had His eye on me,
He saw me suffer, but said it had to be.

My pride was so great, I did not know,
God had to break me, and bring me low.
Now I’m so thankful, He gave me a shove,
He knocked me down, with His tough love.
