LONG TONGUE
by Bill Kochman
12-14-2016
We will each be held accountable,
For every idle word that we speak,
So before wagging your long tongue,
Perhaps the Lord you ought to seek.
Because once you’ve started a fire,
It may be impossible to put it out,
Lives ruined, you lose your friends,
Of this, there should be no doubt.
Words will come back to haunt you,
You’ll be accused for what you said,
The situation may even get so bad,
You’ll even wish that you were dead.
