God measures us not, by the color of our skin
Nor by our social status, He looks deep within.
Money fame and power, are the standards of men,
God wants obedience, going when He says when.

Yielding to His Will, is what God desires most,
Giving Him the glory, without a single boast.
Saul failed to do it, he went ahead of the Lord,
Thinking he knew better, ignored Samuel’s word.

In his foolish rebellion, King Saul lost it all,
Struck down in a battle, on his sword he did fall.
King David was wiser, a man after God’s own heart,
So from his house, the kingdom did not depart.

But I am worried about your delusion.
I find it odd your pronoun infusion,
Such as that “non-binary” inclusion.

We hear this talk of gender confusion,
But surely it is just devilish collusion.
Don’t leave male/female in seclusion,
They’re what we’ve always been usin’.

Calling you “they” is such an illusion,
So forget all of this he/she exclusion.
Or I will just come to one conclusion,
Did you suffer some brain contusion?

And other things that old Satan sells,
But a Heavenly City is my only vision,
Everything else by comparison pales.

Tho long I may sojourn on this planet,
I have known it is not my true place,
Thus I try to please the Lord daily,
As I patiently run in the great race.

Some fine day my journey will be over,
My tired body just won’t take any more.
So I pray that when I finally retire,
Angels will open that Heavenly Door.

Before You Send Me a Facebook Friend Request

In case some of you are wondering why I am making this request, and not just accepting every Tom, Dick and Harry who comes along, it is because there have been a number of occasions in the past where someone has sent me a friend request — which I have then accepted — only to have them turn around literally a few minutes later, and unfriend me. I don’t know if it was because they saw something on my timeline or page which offended them or which they didn’t agree with, or what.

But the point is, this kind of indecisive behavior irks me. Why? Well, because after someone sends me a friend request, I will take the time to visit their timeline in order to determine if they are a Christian, and to see exactly what they believe, what kinds of things they post, what kind of language they use, who their friends are, etc. In other words, I vet each person individually.

If I determine that we might be good friends, and then approve their friend request, only to have them turn around minutes later and unfriend me, yes, that rubs me the wrong way. In short, make sure that you really do wish to be my friend before sending me your friend request.
