Greetings friends! As you may have already read, for the first time in five years, the government of North Korea has fired a medium-range ICBM over the islands of Japan. In fact, the missile landed in the northwestern Pacific Ocean approximately 1,864 miles to the east of Japan. This provocative move by the government of Kim Jong-un — the first such launch since two similar firings in 2017 — comes shortly after South Korea, Japan and the USA conducted military drills in the Sea of Japan, to the east of North Korea. Apparently, Kim Jong-un couldn’t resist showing a little bravado.
One important point which I have mentioned to my friends before, is the fact that the missile fired on October 4, 2022 had sufficient range to reach Guam. Of course, the fact that North Korean ICBMs can reach us is something we here on Guam have known for a long time. We are in range of North Korean missiles. In fact, Kim Jong-un has threatened us before during the Trump years, and even before that.
To put this in perspective for you, I am including two maps with this blog post which show the flight path of the 10-04-2022 missile launch, and the location of Guam and the other Mariana Islands in the northwest Pacific Ocean. If you cannot see both maps on the social network where this message has been posted, please visit my original blog post on the Bill’s Bible Basics Blog at the following URL:
While this North Korean threat is a reality for the people of the Mariana Islands, it is something which I personally do not worry about. I don’t live in fear of it. I trust God for my life, and leave it in His hands to determine when it is my time to leave this present life. Until then, I will continue to do what I have been doing for the past fifty years: preaching the Word of God. For anyone who may be fearful, I encourage you to study the following KJV Bible Verse Lists:
Dear Christian friends, reconnecting with many of you on Facebook has proven to be difficult. One reason is because FB appears to limit sending new friend requests to 20-30 requests per day. At that rate, it will take many months for me to reconnect with all of my old Christian friends.
The second reason why it is proving difficult to reconnect with you is because when I visit a lot of your FB timelines, there is no “Add Friend” button. I suspect that this may be because you have your security settings set to only accept new friend requests from “friends of friends”, and not from “everyone”. Thus, I am unable to send you a friend request.
So, if you have enjoyed my many posts here in the past, please consider sending me a friend request. You will find my new timeline at the following URL:
Also, if you are friends with some of my old friends, please let them know as well by sharing this post with them, so that they are aware of my current situation, and my interest in reconnecting with them.
There is just no way to humanize war,
You know what soldiers went there for.
An agenda gets pushed by your nation,
So be a patriot, or it’s your humiliation.
Beware of the mass media who spin lies,
They are all just tools, you do realize.
Wars are horrible, millions they kill,
Only twisted people get their thrill.
It’s much better to just live in peace,
When will all these hostilities cease?
Peace on this Earth won’t come by man,
Thank God above, He has His own plan.
Sometimes we are in such a hurry,
We really want to get things done,
We are anxious to see the results,
Instead of walking we try to run.
Then when things just don’t happen,
Discouragement soon comes our way,
We sink into a pit of our own making,
Did we listen to what God has to say?
You see, God is in no great hurry,
He takes His time to effect His Will,
Instead of getting bent out of shape,
We need to trust Him and then be still.
Yes, it’s true we must do what we can,
We must exercise faith and do our part,
But trying to push in our own strength,
My friend, it really isn’t being smart.
So just commit your way unto the Lord,
And do what you can obviously do,
Then sit back in confidence and faith,
Knowing that God will see you through.
