I don’t have time for legalistic snakes,
Forget about brethren who are fakes.
They want to catch me in their snare,
But I’m not stupid, no, I’m quite aware.
Using smooth words, they offer bait,
Trying to trap me in a useless debate.
I see them coming from a mile away,
Yes, I know what they’re going to say.
They start out so slow to set their trap,
But I’m just not interested in their crap.
In the truth they do not have a desire,
They only want to start a doctrinal fire.
I’ll play their game and give them rope,
Yes, playin’ the player, I give ‘em hope.
Thinking they got me where they want,
Those creeps start to attack and taunt.
I’m thick-skinned, I could not care less,
I’ll go silent & leave them in their mess.
It’s just not worth engaging those fools,
They’re not family, they’re Satan’s tools.
To those jerks it’s all simply some game,
Someday their words will be their shame.
“For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” Jeremiah 6:13-14, KJV
“Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” Jeremiah 8:10-11, KJV
“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD. And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD. Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:” Ezekiel 13:8-10, KJV
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3, KJV
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.” Matthew 23:37-38, KJV
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” Luke 13:34-35, KJV
