It is only the straight Word of God,
That can truly change people’s lives,
For some folks it brings redemption,
While for others it is sharp knives.
Throughout the whole New Testament,
Yes, they constantly quoted the Word,
But today we hear a different story,
Wild ideas which I find quite absurd.
Internet rumors indeed are so plenty,
If unproven theories are your goal,
But they won’t draw anyone to Christ,
No, they won’t ever win a single soul.
It is time to forsake all that nonsense,
Just give people what they really need,
Forget the rumors, reach in your Bible,
And scatter the Lord’s precious seed.
Some people shout “Save the whales!”,
While others warn to save the trees,
Here is a challenge for all of them,
Won’t you save unborn babies please?
There are so many causes in the world,
It can really make one’s head to spin,
But I think the noblest cause of all,
Is to let that new human life begin.
In His love, God gives a special gift,
But many selfishly just toss it aside,
You think you’re getting away with it,
But your murderous sin you can’t hide.
It’s Saturday night, your TV shows are on,
So bring out the pretzels, pizza and beer,
Never mind that you worked hard all week,
And never once even gave God your ear.
Your Bible’s lost somewhere in the closet,
But DVDs are neatly stacked on your shelf,
Time to watch hours of sex and violence,
You should really be ashamed of yourself.
You call yourself a devoted Christian,
Yet ignore Jesus every day of your life,
God’s Word says that we’re married to Him,
Yet you don’t act like His spiritual wife.
Fee, fee, fi, fi, fo, fo, fum,
Look out children, ’cause here he come.
He’s got a bag of toys, tied with a cord,
Guard your faith, don’t forget the Lord.
He’ll entice you with things, nice to see,
While others in the world, live in misery.
He puts so much glitter, before your eyes,
Everything about him, is a pack of lies.
Sure, you may be happy, at Christmas time,
But mom and dad, won’t be left with a dime.
Stores will be glad, they sold many things,
But to our God above, only sadness it brings.
Forget about Jesus, that’s ole Santa’s game,
Push away God’s Son, so he gets the fame.
Santa won’t judge if you’re naughty or nice,
That is only God’s job, so take my advice,
Steer clear of him, watch out for his claws,
And if you’re tempted, don’t give any pause.
Stay true to God’s Word, your faith strong,
Even if the world, says that you are wrong.
Beware of Satan’s evil, foul breath,
For his vile words only bring death.
Trickery, deception, lies and more,
That old fiend is rotten to the core.
Do not believe a word he has to say,
Fail in this and you will surely pay.
Rebuke that demon, don’t give him ear,
Lest he fill you with doubts and fear.
Turn from darkness, embrace the light,
Trust in Jesus and escape the night.
Believe in God’s Word, for it is true,
It anchors your soul to see you thru.
Sadness can be such a terribly lonely thing,
Robbing us of joy so we don’t want to sing.
Both energy and spirit are brought down low,
Satan takes advantage with a knock-down blow.
Sadness is a prison with bars raised up high,
We question and wonder and ask ourselves why.
Has God abandoned us, does He no longer care,
Are our sins so great, for us alone to bear?
Nay child, your prison is of your own making,
Jesus opens the door, frees you from aching.
He heals broken hearts, He opens eyes to see,
He restores your joy, and gives you victory.
God measures us not, by the color of our skin
Nor by our social status, He looks deep within.
Money fame and power, are the standards of men,
God wants obedience, going when He says when.
Yielding to His Will, is what God desires most,
Giving Him the glory, without a single boast.
Saul failed to do it, he went ahead of the Lord,
Thinking he knew better, ignored Samuel’s word.
In his foolish rebellion, King Saul lost it all,
Struck down in a battle, on his sword he did fall.
King David was wiser, a man after God’s own heart,
So from his house, the kingdom did not depart.
