BATTLE CRY!

by Bill Kochman

06-17-2018

Don’t be a conduit, of the Devil’s noise,
Beware of his devices, and his dirty toys.
Stand strong, be a bearer of God’s Light,
Reprove firmly, the children of the night.

Speak God’s truth, share it at all cost,
Open the eyes, of the blind and the lost.
March forward, in the power of His might,
To the enemy, we must take our holy fight.

Don’t back down, for God is on our side,
Lo darkness, won’t have any place to hide.
So even though, the world is full of sin,
In the end, God’s Word will surely win.

BANNED!

by Bill Kochman

06-05-2018

They said they were really big,
On respecting everyone’s views,
But they didn’t like my stuff,
Must have given them the blues.

Only four days after I joined,
My user account was suspended,
Their diversity policy is bogus,
Why else was my time there ended?

The LGBT crowd was very welcomed,
And people with any other taste,
But regarding Christian opinions,
Ha! They kicked me out with haste.

But I am not going to sweat it,
I’ll just post on other networks,
Nothing can put out God’s flame,
He will take care of those jerks.

BAD SHEEP

by Bill Kochman

12-07-2016

Sheep are not always obedient,
Sometimes they will go astray,
Thinking they know much better,
Than what a shepherd has to say.

Soon enough, they’re in trouble,
And you hear one pitiful bleat,
Rushing in to see what’s wrong,
That animal is now off his feet.

Christians too can be like sheep,
We stubbornly go off the track,
But God likes to waste no time,
So He administers one firm whack!

BACKYARD POLITICS

by Bill Kochman

06-01-2016

Running for a public office,
Seems to be the latest sport,
Candidates attack each other,
They fire off a mean retort.

Forget about the big issues,
Which make our lives so hard,
Let’s sling mud at one another,
Like kids do in their backyard.

It really is so disgraceful,
Grown men behaving like jerks,
With so many pressing problems,
Their sad behavior really irks.

AWESOME FATHER

by Bill Kochman

11-29-2016

Every day is a new chance,
To give thanks to our God,
Whether He gives a blessing,
Or needs to apply His rod.

It really depends upon us,
Whether we choose to obey,
If we are wise we’ll listen,
To what the Lord has to say.

But blessing or chastisement,
Both are signs of His love,
He is such an awesome Father,
Our great God in Heaven above.

ATHEIST

by Bill Kochman

05-13-2019

I met this atheist the other day,
Boy, did that guy know how to rant,
There’s so much scientific evidence,
To believe in your God I just can’t.

The fossil record is so very clear,
The Earth is billions of years old,
So get your head out of the sand,
Forget that stuff you’ve been told.

That book you read is a fairy tale,
Its stories are allegories at best,
As for me, I embrace modern math,
And all our theories pass the test.

I don’t need some great God above,
The Big Bang is really fine by me,
A cosmic explosion very long ago,
Is just how everything came to be.

Now as for man and his modern state,
Anthropology surely holds the key,
My ancestors were quite hairy guys,
They would swing from tree to tree.

Now by this time I had had enough,
This fellow was sounding so absurd,
It was clear his mind was made up,
He had zero respect for God’s Word.

With a smile I gave that man a tract,
It explained how to be Heaven-bound,
But he just muttered under his breath,
And cast God’s Truth to the ground.

So blinded by the lies of the world,
The real truth he was unable to see,
But maybe the scales would fall off,
So he’d come to the light eventually.

AS THE YEARS PASS

by Bill Kochman

10-16-2014

As the years slowly pass us by,
We oft ask ourselves, why oh why,
Did I do those things I did?
Was I crazy, did I pop my lid?

Wisdom comes, and foolishness goes,
God has a plan, our life He knows,
Pride is broken, humility springs,
We think on just important things.

Lessons learned, now we must share,
Our mistakes, we all must bear.
Teach our young, so they may learn,
If they don’t, it will be their turn.

AS DIRTY AS I AM

by Bill Kochman

12-20-2016

As dirty as I am,
Yet Jesus died for me,
No, I don’t deserve it,
But there’s the mystery.

My sins are before me,
Thus King David wrote,
I know the same feeling,
There’s no room to gloat.

Such is the greatness,
Of the great God above,
He elected to save us,
By way of His Son’s love.

AROUND THE BEND

by Bill Kochman

11-24-2016

We each only get just one chance,
To travel around this life’s bend,
Please make each minute worth it,
God will reward you in the end.

Watch out for the Devil’s detours,
Stay far from that lying old fox,
Don’t let his sly words entice you,
Lest you become trapped in his box.

Travel the road God chose for you,
Avoiding pitfalls along the way,
Keep your eyes on the Lord Jesus,
And you will make it Home someday.

ANYTHING BUT JESUS

by Bill Kochman

11-24-2016

Atheism, Judaism and Islam are okay,
Native American, Wicca, Santeria too,
But just say a word about dear Jesus,
And you will find yourself in a stew.

Hinduism & environmentalism are fine,
Also Buddha has a place at the table,
But just dare mention Christian faith,
And they’ll give you a very nasty label.

They argue that it is against the law,
They will even kick you out of school,
But the day when Heaven rejects them,
They’ll realize that they were the fool.

AZAZEL THE SCAPEGOAT AND FALLEN ANGEL — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #Azazel #Scapegoat

In the original Hebrew, the English word “scapegoat” is “azazel”. Please refer to the article entitled “Judgment of Azazel: Scapegoat of the High Priest” for more details regarding this topic.

“And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat [Azazel] . . . But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat [Azazel], shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat [Azazel] into the wilderness . . . And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat [Azazel] shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.”
Leviticus 16:8, 10, 26, KJV

“And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways.”
Book of Enoch 8:1-3a

“Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven, which men were striving to learn:”
Book of Enoch 9:6b-7a

“And again the Lord said to Raphael: ‘Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons. And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.'”
Book of Enoch 10:4-8

“And Enoch went and said: ‘Azazel, thou shalt have no peace: a severe sentence has gone forth against thee to put thee in bonds: And thou shalt not have toleration nor request granted to thee, because of the unrighteousness which thou hast taught, and because of all the works of godlessness and unrighteousness and sin which thou hast shown to men.'”
Book of Enoch 13:1-3

“And I asked the angel of peace who went with me, saying: ‘For whom are these chains being prepared ?’ And he said unto me: ‘These are being prepared for the hosts of Azazel, so that they may take them and cast them into the abyss of complete condemnation, and they shall cover their jaws with rough stones as the Lord of Spirits commanded.'”
Book of Enoch 54:4-5

“Ye mighty kings who dwell on the earth, ye shall have to behold Mine Elect One, how he sits on the throne of glory and judges Azazel, and all his associates, and all his hosts in the name of the Lord of Spirits.”
Book of Enoch 55:4

“And after this judgement they shall terrify and make them to tremble because they have shown this to those who dwell on the earth. And behold the names of those angels [and these are their names: the first of them is Samjaza, the second Artaqifa, and the third Armen, the fourth Kokabel, the fifth Turael, the sixth Rumjal, the seventh Danjal, the eighth Neqael, the ninth Baraqel, the tenth Azazel, the eleventh Armaros, the twelfth Batarjal, the thirteenth Busasejal, the fourteenth Hananel, the fifteenth Turel, and the sixteenth Simapesiel, the seventeenth Jetrel, the eighteenth Tumael, the nineteenth Turel, the twentieth Rumael, the twenty-first Azazel. And these are the chiefs of their angels and their names, and their chief ones over hundreds and over fifties and over tens].”
Book of Enoch 69:1-3

AVOID THE APPEARANCE OF EVIL — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #Avoid #AppearanceOfEvil #EvilAppearance

“Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
1 Thessalonians 5:22, KJV

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”
Romans 13:12, KJV

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light . . . And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather REPROVE them.”
Ephesians 5:8, 11, KJV

“Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.”
1 Peter 2:12-16, KJV

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
Colossians 4:5-6, KJV

“That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.”
1 Thessalonians 4:12, KJV

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”
Romans 12:18, KJV

AVOID ARGUING — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #AvoidArguing #AvoidDebating #Argue #Debate

“For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?”
1 Corinthians 1:11-13, KJV

“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”
1 Corinthians 3:3-6, KJV

“But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
2 Timothy 2:23-26, KJV

“But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.”
Titus 3:9, KJV

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
1 Corinthians 1:10, KJV

AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #AsAThiefInTheNight #ThiefInTheNight

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only . . . Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up . . . The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,”
Matthew 24:36, 42-43, 50,KJV

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
Matthew 25:13,KJV

“But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things . . . But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
Mark 13:23, 32-37,KJV

“Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
Luke 12:35-40,KJV

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
Luke 21:34-36,KJV

“When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”
Acts 1:6-7,KJV

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2-6,KJV

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
2 Peter 3:10,KJV

“Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”
Revelation 3:3,KJV

“Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”
Revelation 16:15,KJV

ARK OF THE COVENANT AND THE MERCY SEAT — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ArkOfTheCovenant #MercySeat

“And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about. And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it. And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them. The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it. And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof. And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be. And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.”
Exodus 25:8-22, KJV

“And thou shalt put it [the altar] before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.”
Exodus 30:6, KJV

“And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it: And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about. And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it. And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold. And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark. And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat; One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof. And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.”
Exodus 37:1-9, KJV

“And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died; And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.”
Leviticus 16:1-2, KJV

“And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,”

APOSTLES’ SIGNS AND WONDERS — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #Apostles #Signs #Wonders

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:7-8, KJV

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”
Luke 9:1-2, KJV

“And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you . . . Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:8-9, 19-20, KJV

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
John 14:12-14, KJV

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Mark 16:17-18, KJV

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God . . . Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.”
Acts 3:1-9, 4:8-10, KJV

“And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”
Acts 5:14-16, KJV

“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”
Acts 19:11-12, KJV

“And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.”
Acts 20:9-12, KJV

And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.”

APOSTLE PAUL’S HUMILITY — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ApostlePaul #Humility #Humble

“And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
1 Corinthians 15:8-10, KJV

“Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;”
Ephesians 3:7-8, KJV

“For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.”
1 Corinthians 4:9-13, KJV

“For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”
2 Corinthians 10:10, KJV

“O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
Romans 7:24, KJV

APOSTLE PAUL’S APPROACHING DEATH — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ApostlePaul #Death

“For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.”
Philippians 1:19-26, KJV

“Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.”
Philippians 2:16-17, KJV

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:6-8, KJV
