They say that history repeats itself,
Sadly, it seems that it may be true,
If you were a Christian in Nero’s day,
You would’ve found yourself in a stew.

Crazed Nero desired to rebuild Rome,
So a most devious plan he did conspire,
To make room for his construction plans,
He ordered that the city be set on fire.

How to do it without getting caught,
So they would not cast on him the blame,
There was a sect called the Christians,
And those gents Nero began to defame.

They don’t even worship our Roman gods,
And even eat human flesh and drink blood,
Thus it was with his false accusations,
Nero dragged their name through the mud.

The lie caught on and persecution began,
The Christians were hated and crucified,
Though they were not guilty of the crime,
Yet still many of those good folks died.

Today the very same ploy has been used,
In which sinners have taken the reins,
They accuse us of hatred and bigotry,
To slander us they’ll go to great pains.

But just like Nero, they are the guilty,
Because they rebel against God’s Laws,
They paint us as homophobes and worse,
But they surely do it without just cause.

There are so many Christians,
Believing that old Satan’s lies,
Saying Jesus will come soon,
We should look up to the skies.

Others speak about tribulation,
We are already in it they say,
Yet some folks will disagree,
Saying it will come someday.

Then there’s talk of the Beast,
So many theories I have read,
But if you listen to them all,
It will just explode your head.

We likewise hear of the mark,
Many ideas result in confusion,
But what if they are all wrong,
And filled with strong delusion?

Yes, there are so many people,
Saying a lot of different things,
They all claim to be teachers,
Greater condemnation it brings.

Disappointment may be coming,
If you embrace misguided views,
When the Lord fails to appear,
Many will be left with the blues.

Now, I’ve been down that path,
I used to believe just like you,
But after much serious study,
I realized that it’s just not true.

We simply cannot make future,
What in the past was fulfilled,
To gain proper understanding,
To God’s Spirit we must yield.

So now open your heart to Him,
And cast aside your deception,
Let Him speak the truth to you,
And give you proper perception.

CONVENIENCE STORE GOD

Oh we are such terrible creatures,
When it comes to loving our God,
We run to Him just when we need Him,
No doubt He finds this rather odd.

But God is not a convenience store,
He is the omnipotent King of Heaven,
We all need to love and respect Him,
Because He’s not just your 7-Eleven.

Yes, He is always open for business,
Our God never slumbers or sleeps,
And His service is simply top-notch,
His promises our Lord always keeps.

Giving Him ear just when we need Him,
Such sad behavior really will not do,
How would you feel if your loved one,
Gave the same exact treatment to you?

BIBLICAL NATIONS OF ABRAHAM — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

In the Bible, particularly in the Old Testament, when the Scriptures speak about the nations descended from Abraham, it is talking about the Twelve Patriarchs of the Twelve Tribes of Israel and their descendants. In other words, a tribe is a nation in a Biblical sense. Thus, the Twelve Tribes were Twelve Nations which comprised the whole nation of Israel.

We see the very same thing happening with Ishmael, who was Abraham’s son by his Egyptian handmaid, Hagar. Similar to Jacob, Ishmael had twelve sons who were twelve princes, who each ruled over their own nation — or tribe — of people. That is, their descendants.

At the same time, not to be confused, the word “nations” is also used in the Scriptures to signify non-Israelite nations who did not worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They are also referred to as Gentiles, from the Hebrew “goy”, or plural “goyim”.

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and THOU SHALT BE A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; FOR A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS HAVE I MADE THEE. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I WILL MAKE NATIONS OF THEE, and KINGS SHALL COME OUT OF THEE . . . And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and SHE SHALL BE A MOTHER OF NATIONS; KINGS OF PEOPLE SHALL BE OF HER.”
