REBELLIOUS NATION

by Bill Kochman

If they only realized what is coming,
Maybe they would not act in that way,
There’s so much pride and rebellion,
How much longer will God’s hand stay?

The Lord is indeed so very patient,
He gives us all much time to repent,
But such foolish children that we be,
We reject the messengers He has sent.

Laughing and scoffing at the warning,
Flaunting their haughtiness in His face,
They don’t see His judgments coming,
Which will remove us from our place.

Yes, as it was in the days of Noah,
Or in wicked Sodom before her fall,
Unless we humble ourselves & repent,
There may be nothing left not at all.
