SNOOZE NEWS

It is a tradition every evening at 6 PM,
Folks gather to watch the nightly news,
But they don’t really wish to inform us,
Their game is just to make us all snooze.
It is the same no matter where you look,
And regardless of the channel you choose,
There’s way too much fluff and negativity,
It is really enough to give one the blues.
If you are looking for even a little truth,
Don’t expect them to leave you any clues,
Their main goal is to jack up the ratings,
And just increase their number of views.
So please pardon if I decide to walk away,
I hope you understand and will excuse,
For I’ve much more important things to do,
And on their nonsense I’ve no time to lose.
