SPROUT!

by Bill Kochman

11-08-2024

When you plant a seed,
You expect it to sprout,
With some sun and rain,
It will soon just pop out.

But how would you feel,
If the weeks passed by,
And to your amazement,
There’s just no little guy?

No seedling does appear,
The ground remains bare,
You feel as if you’d like,
To pull out your own hair.

Well now consider God,
He gives you a faith seed,
But you just never grow,
Or else turn into a weed.

He won’t be very happy,
He may even pull you out,
For producing good fruit,
Is what God is all about.

So thus you must grow,
And turn into a great tree,
With big leafy branches,
That God is glad to see.
