BEREANS

The faith of our fathers,
Has become so distorted,
So many false doctrines,
Are commonly reported.
It’s been 2,000 years now,
The Devil has had his way,
You need to be very careful,
With what some people say.
Yes, do not just accept it,
Is it contrary to His Book?
If you are not real certain,
Please take a closer look.
Be like those wise Bereans,
Who to Paul they gave ear,
They checked the Scriptures,
To make sure it was clear.
But many Christians today,
Have sadly become so lazy,
Accepting false teachings,
Tho they sound quite crazy.
Deceiving & being deceived,
Is this not what Paul wrote?
Wolves in sheep’s clothing,
Of their wealth many gloat.
Fleecing the Lord’s flocks,
They all live so very well,
But the poison they preach,
Comes from the pit of Hell.
Thus, give due diligence,
Doctrines of devils reject,
Expose beliefs to the light,
And then carefully inspect.
