That old Satan is just a speed demon.
He wants you in Hell as fast as he can,
He will throw every single trick at you,
So you won’t think about the Son of Man.
Yes, alcohol, women, gay sex and drugs,
Are at the top of his sneaky, sinful list,
And gambling, hard rock music and porn,
Will just leave you in a deceptive mist.
Everything that will please your flesh,
He’s more than happy to throw your way,
But when your whole sad life is through,
You will be his property on Judgment Day.
It’s Saturday night, your TV shows are on,
So bring out the pretzels, pizza and beer,
Never mind that you worked hard all week,
And never once even gave God your ear.
Your Bible’s lost somewhere in the closet,
But DVDs are neatly stacked on your shelf,
Time to watch hours of sex and violence,
You should really be ashamed of yourself.
You call yourself a devoted Christian,
Yet ignore Jesus every day of your life,
God’s Word says that we’re married to Him,
Yet you don’t act like His spiritual wife.
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
