Some people say that face masks and respirators provide adequate protection against being contaminated by COVID-19, while others say that they don’t work. So what is the truth regarding this matter?

There is actually truth in both statements. N95 and FFP3 respirators do work. However, there are several things that the user has to do in order to ensure that they work as intended, and provide the protection that one needs; namely these:

1. Make sure that you have the right size mask for the size and contour of your face. A medium-size mask will fit most people.

2. Make sure that you are wearing the mask properly so that it fits snugly against your face.

Some respirators — such as the ones I have — have a small metal strip across the nose bridge so that you can mold that part of the mask close to your nose so that there are no gaps between the mask and your skin.

3. If you have a beard or a mustache, you will probably have to shave it off; as otherwise, the mask will not seal properly on your face.

4. While wearing the respirator, do NOT touch any part of your face with your hands, particularly your nose and your mouth.

5. Most respirators should only be worn for a few hours and then discarded; not only because they become moist from your breathing, but also because if you are working in a contaminated area, the mask will eventually become saturated with contagions.

6. When it comes time to remove and/or discard the mask, be very careful how you do it.

Try to just touch only the straps as you remove it, as otherwise, you could unknowingly end up getting the virus on your fingers. Then, when you inadvertently touch your face, such as your mouth or your nose, you will end up infecting yourself.

7. If you are living in, working in or temporarily visiting an area where there may be infected people or contaminated surfaces, in addition to making sure that you are wearing your face mask properly following all of the previous steps, wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water, or else use wipes that contain at least a 70% alcohol solution, or use rubbing alcohol with a non-alcohol-based wipe of your choice.

If you fail to carefully follow the previous recommendations, then no matter how expensive or high quality your mask is, you will still become infected.

For the record, despite how careful they are, it has already been reported that some health care workers have in fact been infected by the coronavirus. That is just how virulent and aggressive COVID-19 is when it comes to transmission.

So be careful, be conscious of what you are doing at all times, and follow the above guidelines, as well as the guidelines which are issued by your local healthcare officials and government authorities. And, of course, pray for God’s protection.

Coronavirus: 40 Bible Verse Lists Regarding God’s Love, Patience, Wrath, Judgments and Repentance

As the world endures the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many people — including many Christians — are looking to YouTube videos, unsubstantiated conspiracy theories and other question sources, in order to understand and explain what is going on, as well as why it is occurring. In my view, many of these things are red herrings and sideshows which distract us from the one true source which actually explains to us what is going on in the world right now. Of course, I am referring to the Bible. But because they look to these other secular sources to understand and explain things, some people are not only missing the Big Picture, they are also emphasizing the wrong things when they discuss this issue with their friends.

The fact of the matter is that as Bible-believing Christians who know the Lord, we have a duty, an obligation and a responsibility to look to God’s Word for the answers, and not to the wisdom of the world, which can quite often be rather deceiving. While many people today — again, including many Christians — like to emphasize a God of love and a lovey-dovey Jesus, as I explain in articles such as “Do You Want Love and Light, or Rod and Wrath?“, the Holy Scriptures inform us that our Heavenly Father is both a God of Love, as well as a God of Wrath. Likewise, Jesus can bleat like a Lamb, or else He can roar like a Lion. Exactly which side we each see of their character depends a lot on us.

One mistake which I have repeatedly seen some Christians make, is to use verses such as John 10:10 to justify and convey the one-sided image of God the Father and Jesus which I just mentioned to you. In that verse, Jesus states the following:

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have ‭it‭ more abundantly.”
John 10:10, KJV

Personally, I wholeheartedly agree with the above verse. In fact, I am quite familiar with it, as well as with a number of other related verses, which you will find in the “God’s Desire for Healing and Repentance” KJV Bible Verse List which is listed below. But as I said, we need to look at the entire equation. In other words, we can’t just look at those verses which create an image of God the Father and Jesus Christ which we like, which is pleasing to us, and which we can easily accept. We need to examine ALL of the related verses.

As I have said so many times before, we need to compare and balance Scripture with Scripture, in order to better understand whatever subject we happen to be researching in the Bible. If we fail to do this, then we may end up with a lopsided understanding of the issue. Worse yet, we may erroneously convey that lopsided understanding to others as well.

This very same rule applies to understanding the full nature of God the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. When we do compare Scripture with Scripture, we get a very different picture. We get a more balanced picture. For example, while in Matthew 18:11 Jesus said “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost”, and in Luke 9:56 He also said “For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them”, at the same time, the Lord also clearly said such things as the following in the Gospels:

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Matthew 10:28, KJV

“And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: ‭‭Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
Mark 9:45-46, KJV

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Luke 13:2, KJV

“Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: SIN NO MORE, LEST A WORSE THING COME UNTO THEE.”
John 5:14, KJV

And let us not forget that this is the same Jesus who overturned the tables of the moneychangers in the temple compound, and who repeatedly referred to the unbelieving Jews as liars, hypocrites, oppressors of the poor, murderers, and the children of the Devil. So, do you see my point?

To continue, as I mentioned earlier, if we truly want to understand what the COVID-19 pandemic is all about, and why it has wrecked the global economy, and pretty much brought the entire world to a standstill, then we must look to God’s Word, and not to the fallible words or wisdom of mere men. Coronavirus: God Will Silence the Fools

Dear friends, since I first began speaking out about and writing about the current COVID-19 pandemic just over a week ago, I have been told that I am overreacting and being too serious. Some people have mocked me. Some people have deleted my comments. At least one person has blocked me. Another person has accused me of being a religious Pharisee. Sadly, some of the people who have done these things are my own Christian brethren. To those people who are behaving in this manner, I say the following:

Am I truly a religious Pharisee as you falsely claim? Or am I one who is in tune enough to the Spirit to simply see what God is doing, and will continue to do, through the current COVID-19 pandemic? Am I truly a religious Pharisee, or am I simply concerned enough, and love my Christian brethren enough, to warn them of the folly they commit by continuing to joke about the current situation regarding the growing pandemic which has now touched the entire world?

One thing I have come to suspect is that through this current global scourge, sooner or later, one by one, God will eventually silence all of the mockers and fools. Their tongues and voices will be stopped, once they truly realize how serious this is, and come to understand that COVID-19 is a global chastisement from the Lord for our many sins. And, yes, we ALL have sins in our lives, from the greatest to the least. Only you know what they are in your particular life. You may not believe it now; you can crack your insensitive jokes now; you can continue to mock those of us who try to tell you the truth; but if I am right, you may not be laughing for much longer as the coronavirus continues to sweep the world, and begins to take the lives of some of your loved ones. Will you let it come to that? Will God have to continue to apply the pressure until you wake up and repent of your sins and unbelief?

I most certainly do not pray for this to happen to anyone. After all, as I explain in my three-part series “Coronavirus: Just the Facts, Ma’am”, God does not wish to destroy us. He wishes for us to come to our senses and repent, so that He can save us. In fact, the Scriptures inform us that it pains Him to have to chastise us. As the Apostle Paul stated to the Athenians in Acts chapter seventeen:

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
Acts 17:30-31, KJV

So God’s reaction, and the degree of His chastisements, depends a lot on our reaction to His chastisements. So what will you do? Will you humble yourself before Him and repent of your sins as in this verse?:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV

For those of my Christian brethren who have acted in this fashion, I say this: How long will you continue to act in such a worldly, fleshly manner? Are we not called to be different from the world? That is, to be holy, set apart and sanctified to a greater purpose? How can you claim to do so when you act just like the children of the world? Please carefully study the following Bible resources:

Coronavirus: Do You Need a Psychiatric Evaluation?

It really saddens me to see how many people — including many of my own Christian brethren who clearly should know better — have so easily succumbed to the unsubstantiated claims of conspiracy theorists in regards to the current coronavirus pandemic. While that is troubling in itself, even worse, some of these people are so deceived, that even now, months into this fast-spreading global pandemic, they still don’t believe that the SARS-CoV-2 plague is real. Denying all evidence that tells them to the contrary, such folks claim that COVID-19 is simply a news media hoax, or else they attribute the pandemic to some other scheming entities who are bent on carrying out some dark and devious agenda to control the world. Take your pick.

Many of the people who entertain this madness base their position primarily on what they are able to observe in their own immediate, personal microcosm. In other words, because they don’t know anyone personally who has become infected with or died from COVID-19, they therefore assume — quite erroneously so — that the pandemic must not be real. In fact, I have even read comments online where some of these people claim that the stories of refrigerator trucks filled with the bodies of the dead are all fabricated. They also claim that some hospitals are not really being overwhelmed, and are in fact pretty empty with very little or even no activity at all. Yes, believe it or not! That is how deceived some of them are!

Wow! What a short-sighted perspective! How can such people shut their eyes so tightly, and choose to ignore the greater picture, and the greater body of scientific, medical and governmental evidence which clearly demonstrates that the COVID-19 pandemic is very real? My gosh, as of this current date — June 18, 2020 — it has infected well over eight million people thus far, and killed over 447,000 thousand people around the world as well. I am sure that the Americans who have lost someone to this disease don’t believe that it is a fabricated media hoax. Neither do the Brazilians. Neither do the British. Neither do the Italians. Or the French. Or the Spanish. Or anyone else where the coronavirus has taken a horribly great toll. Only crazy conspiracy theorists embrace the insanity that the pandemic is not real. Only deceived people can close their eyes to what is happening all around them and ignore this tragedy.

Look, as I will be pointing out in yet another upcoming coronavirus-related article, I am not stupid, and I don’t have my head in the sand. On the one hand, I wholeheartedly agree with the fact that we should not be too naive and gullible insofar as the liberal news media, and even our own government announcements are concerned. We all know how they can be. After all, they do have their agendas. However, at the same time, neither should we go to the opposite extreme by rejecting and scoffing at what is actually happening around the world right now. Neither should we trivialize, discount or minimize the number of deaths which have occurred thus far, as if they mean nothing, simply because they are not in the millions. At least not yet. In case you don’t know what I am talking about, let me tell you.

In recent months I have seen certain discussions occurring on Facebook in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, which I feel should not be happening. I am referring to some of my own Christian brethren who I have seen arguing and debating over numbers, and comparing annual flu mortality rates and COVID-19 mortality rates, all for the sake of making some particular point, or defending a particular position. Most often, it is to make the point that the current coronavirus pandemic death rate is not nearly as bad as the annual flu death rate. Personally, I view it as being insensitive, and even callous to the suffering and death which so many people are experiencing right now. It is being carnal. These dead people are not just mere numbers to argue about.

I don’t know about you, but I believe that every life is precious to the Lord. He desires everyone to be saved. I have to wonder how many of the over 447,000 people who have already perished worldwide from this plague, knew Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. So if you have been guilty of doing this, please, let’s stop downplaying and minimizing their deaths by engaging in foolish numbers debates. Okay? Let’s show a little sensitivity.

But getting back to the crazy idea that the pandemic is just a fabrication of the news media, stop and think about this. If we accept what fringe conspiracy theorists are claiming — which I personally don’t — then we have to not only believe that the drastic actions which are currently being taken by governments all around the world are based on their belief in the lies of the mass media, but we also have to believe that 188 of the nations of the world have suddenly banded together in order to deceive the world’s people. It is just one big, evil, global plot where everyone is in cahoots with each other, right? I don’t think so. Furthermore, we have to believe that all of these nations are willing to totally wreck their economies, in order to perpetuate this so-called pandemic “hoax”, and deceive their own people. Do you see how far-fetched such an idea is?

Personally, I don’t buy this hoax nonsense. I live on a small island where everybody knows everybody, or is at least related to a lot of other people on the island. In March of this current year, we had zero confirmed cases of COVID-19. Now — June 18, 2020 — we have 188 total confirmed cases, and the number continues to slowly grow by the week. Thankfully, unlike many other places, due to strict social distancing being put into practice early on here, we have had only five deaths thus far. However, now that social distancing restrictions are being loosened up a bit, and businesses are starting to reopen, it will be interesting to see how this affects the number of total infections.

So, my friends, if you want to, you can believe that the coronavirus pandemic is one grand hoax that is being perpetuated by 188 governments around the world, by the news media, by many medical professionals, etc. But personally, I am convinced that the pandemic is real. Yes, the mass media is clearly and surely exaggerating the truth regarding this pandemic for reasons which I have already explained before. No doubt, some governments are doing so as well. Nevertheless, that does not negate the underlying facts, as communicated to us by government representatives and health officials alike. Believe it or not, but there are some honest people amongst them. They are not all slimeballs.

AZAZEL THE SCAPEGOAT AND FALLEN ANGEL — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

In the original Hebrew, the English word “scapegoat” is “azazel”. Please refer to the article entitled “Judgment of Azazel: Scapegoat of the High Priest” for more details regarding this topic.
