APOSTLES’ SIGNS AND WONDERS — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #Apostles #Signs #Wonders

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:7-8, KJV

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”
Luke 9:1-2, KJV

“And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you . . . Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:8-9, 19-20, KJV

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
John 14:12-14, KJV

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Mark 16:17-18, KJV

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God . . . Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.”
Acts 3:1-9, 4:8-10, KJV

“And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”
Acts 5:14-16, KJV

“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”
Acts 19:11-12, KJV

“And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.”
Acts 20:9-12, KJV

“And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.”
Acts 28:3-6, KJV

“And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.”
Acts 2:43, KJV

“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.”
Acts 5:12, KJV

“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.”
Acts 6:8, KJV

“Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.”
Acts 14:3, KJV

“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.”
Acts 15:12, KJV

APOSTLE PAUL’S HUMILITY — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ApostlePaul #Humility #Humble

“And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
1 Corinthians 15:8-10, KJV

“Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;”
Ephesians 3:7-8, KJV

“For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.”
1 Corinthians 4:9-13, KJV

“For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”
2 Corinthians 10:10, KJV

“O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
Romans 7:24, KJV

APOSTLE PAUL’S APPROACHING DEATH — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ApostlePaul #Death

“For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.”
Philippians 1:19-26, KJV

“Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.”
Philippians 2:16-17, KJV

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:6-8, KJV

APOSTLE PAUL PERSECUTED THE FIRST CENTURY CHURCH — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ApostlePaul #Persecuted #Church

“Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him [Stephen] with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.”
Acts 7:57-8:3, KJV

“And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.”
Acts 9:1-2, KJV

“And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.”
Acts 22:4-5, KJV

“I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.”
Acts 26:9-11, KJV

“For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.”
1 Corinthians 15:9, KJV

“For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.”
Galatians 1:13-14, KJV

ANOTHER WAR — a poem and song by BBB

#Poetry #Poem

ANOTHER WAR

by Bill Kochman

https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry

07-02-2020

For their nation they all fought,
Just like countless wars before,
Blood flowed thick in the fields,
So much pain one could not ignore.

Many weren’t much older than boys,
You could almost smell their fear,
As the enemy began their charge,
A boy asked “What am I doing here?”

That young man had been a farmer,
He’d only known the ways of peace,
No quarrel he had with the enemy,
He wished the violence would cease.

Government claimed to know better,
So those boys marched thru the mud,
As the bullets made many men fall,
The earth sucked up their blood.

At last the war was finally over,
A great victory had been achieved,
The nation celebrated with parades,
While parents at home just grieved.

Their child would never celebrate,
He too had fallen on that sad day,
For a cause he did not understand,
With his life he was forced to pay.

So often this same story is repeated,
Government always finds a new fight,
When a nation is constantly at war,
Clearly something is just not right.

Rather blessed are the peacemakers,
This is what our Lord clearly said,
If we choose to take up the sword,
By that weapon we may end up dead.

ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE

by Bill Kochman

https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry

12-01-2016

They say Christians live in a bubble,
And that we really don’t have a clue,
Just ignorant of the world around us,
But friend, that’s not actually true.

We know all of this life’s problems,
But we don’t let them bring us down,
We place faith in our Heavenly Father,
And choose a smile instead of a frown.

Indeed, this life is full of battles,
We have very good reasons to be sad,
But when you trust in the Lord’s love,
It gives your heart reason to be glad.

ANGRY ANTS

by Bill Kochman

10-11-2020

The days and hours quickly passed,
Their time would soon just run out,
The crazy Dems were now so frantic,
Like angry ants they all ran about.

For four long years they’d schemed,
They tried every trick in the book,
But no matter how hard they fished,
They just couldn’t get in that hook.

Thinking themselves so very clever,
They threw out bait time after time,
They did some things that were shady,
Will they be prosecuted for a crime?

ANGELS AMONGST US

Paul said Angels walk amongst us,
Although we probably won’t know,
They tend to be rather secretive,
And their true nature rarely show.

They have been sent on a mission,
By order of Heaven’s Highest Court,
They carry out some Earthly duties,
Then back to God they must report.

Throughout Earth’s human history,
Angels have appeared on the scene,
It’s alway been at pivotal moments,
Bible tells us where they’ve been.

AMERICAN VIOLENCE

by Bill Kochman

Violence in the church,
Violence on the street,
Kids killed in schools,
Even cops on the beat.

So much hate and anger,
Like we just never saw,
People so on the edge,
Nerves are just so raw.

So much dissatisfaction,
It’s all around we see,
Needs to change quickly,
Or we may cease to be.

AMERICA

by Bill Kochman

https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry

09-01-2014

You abort your unborn babies,
Your politicians act like thugs,
You get drunk on strong booze,
And strung out on all your drugs.

You drop bombs on other nations,
So that you alone reign supreme,
Then you convince all your people,
It’s for their American dream.

Your heart has become so hardened,
Yet you say “America, God bless”,
You have become so deceived,
You’re in one hell of a big mess.

One man now “marries” another,
And each woman has her own “wife”,
You legally force your sins on us,
And insist it’s a “normal” life.

Your movies are filled with violence,
Cussing is heard from shore to shore,
Sex is constantly thrown in our faces,
I just can’t take your world anymore.

Yet you say that God should bless you,
That you are a favorite in His eye,
But everything that you stand for,
Has become just a devilish lie.

ALL LIVES MATTER — a poem and song by BBB

ALL LIVES MATTER

by Bill Kochman

https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry

08-07-2020

Yes, black lives most certainly matter,
But white lives likewise matter too,
Brown lives, red lives, yellow lives,
We are all part of God’s genetic brew.

Yet our skin color is so superficial,
Within our blood all flows simply red,
And resorting to protest and violence,
Will surely lead to more people dead.

We must accept the past is the past,
So on the living don’t cast the blame,
Mistakes have been made on all sides,
Don’t let wolves your hatred inflame.

Yes, this world is far from perfect,
Many social injustices can be found,
But know fighting against each other,
Leaves us all on very shaky ground.

In the Gospels Jesus said it so clearly,
A nation that is divided cannot stand,
Weakened from within helps the enemy,
This is something you must understand.

Now if you choose to resort to violence,
Jesus said that violence you will reap,
Thus it’s better to live your life in peace,
And God’s Commandments strive to keep.

The Bible says the greatest is to love,
So how will you fare before the Judge?
Will you abandon protest and violence,
Or hold on to your hatred and grudge?

Once I met an alien,
From a place very far away,
He just stared & looked at me,
He did not have much to say.

I was a little frightened,
Although I am not sure why,
Maybe the manner of his dress,
It was different from you and I.

I thought to become aggressive,
To show him that I was the boss,
But then he opened his mouth,
And said “¡Hola! ¿Como estás?”

AFTER WE ARE GONE

by Bill Kochman

https://www.billkochman.com/Poetry

11-26-2016

We all want to be remembered,
After we are gone,
For some it’s a book written,
While for others it’s a song.

But as I look at my own life,
What stands out very strong,
Is God’s Word I have taught,
It remains for so very long.

So I will keep on preaching,
It’s most important to me,
It may make a difference,
When I reach Eternity.

You say that you love Jesus,
He’s the Master of your life,
So why aren’t you now with Him,
If you really are His wife?

You have many other lovers,
They fill up your worldly bed,
Why don’t you forsake them all,
And embrace your King instead?

He so longs to be with you,
Yet you just cast Him aside,
Oh you foolish adulteress,
Your sins you cannot ever hide.

APOSTLE PAUL IN ROME — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #ApostlePaulInRome #ApostlePaul

As a matter of clarification, allow me to inform you that it is commonly believed that the Apostle Paul did not personally write all of his Epistles. Due to his poor eyesight — which may have possibly been a result of the incident on the road to Damascus where the Lord struck down Paul, and left him blind for three days — Paul was forced to dictate a number of his Epistles to his traveling companions.

“After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”
Acts 19:21, KJV

“And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.”
Acts 23:11, KJV

“And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli: Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome. And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage. And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.”
Acts 28:13-16, KJV

“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ . . . So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.”
Romans 1:7, 15, KJV

“Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. [To the Galatians written from Rome.]”
Galatians 6:18, KJV

“Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. [To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.]”
Ephesians 6:24, KJV

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. [To the Philippians written from Rome, by Epaphroditus.]”
Philippians 4:23, KJV

“The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. [Written from Rome to Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.]”
Colossians 4:18, KJV

“But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.”
2 Timothy 1:17, KJV

“The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. [The second epistle unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.]”
2 Timothy 4:22, KJV

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. [Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant.]”
Philemon 1:25, KJV

ANOINTED AND UNANOINTED TEACHERS — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #AnointedTeachers #AnointedTeacher

Teaching God’s Word is a very serious business which should not be taken lightly. As the Apostle James tells us:

“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”
James 3:1, KJV

Please note that while the word “masters” is used in that verse, it is translated from the Greek word “didaskalos” which is also translated as “teachers” in the New Testament.

Anointed teachers of God:

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?”
1 Corinthians 12:28-29, KJV

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
Ephesians 4:11-16, KJV

Teachers who are NOT anointed:

“And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.”
1 Corinthians 8:2, KJV

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
1 Timothy 4:1-2, KJV

“From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.”
1 Timothy 1:6-7, KJV

“If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
1 Timothy 6:3-5, KJV

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”
2 Timothy 4:3, KJV

“Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Hebrews 5:11-14, KJV

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
2 Peter 2:1, KJV

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”
2 Peter 3:15-16, KJV

#Scriptures #BibleStudy #BibleVerses #AngelicProtection #Angels

“But the men [the two Angels] put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.”
Genesis 19:10-11, KJV

“And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.”
Genesis 19:15-17, KJV

“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
Psalm 34:7, KJV

“The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.”
Psalm 68:17, KJV

“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? And the captain of the LORD’S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.”
Joshua 5:13-15, KJV

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.”
2 Kings 6:16-18, KJV

“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.”
Psalm 91:10-12, KJV

“Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”
Psalm 105:15, KJV

“And when they [the wise men] were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him . . . But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.”
Matthew 2:13, 19-20, KJV

“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea . . . Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 18:6, 10, KJV

“Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison. But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”
Acts 5:17-20, KJV

“And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.”
Acts 12:6-11, KJV
