PRIDEFUL TEACHERS

So many false interpretations,
They are all around us I see,
People making erroneous claims,
Twisting the word of prophecy.

Thinking that they understand,
They are led by their own minds,
No evidence of the Holy Spirit,
They seem to be wearing blinds.

So often politically motivated,
They force verses to their view,
Convincing others they are right,
So that they become deceived too.

They’re just novices in the Word,
Filled with their ego and pride,
When God exposes their errors,
They will have no place to hide.

You see, God’s Word is not a toy,
To be manipulated as we please,
Time to forsake such foolishness,
And truly repent on bended knees.

Ask God for Wisdom of His Spirit,
As you read the ancient holy text,
Let one verse interpret another,
He will show you what comes next.

In this way understanding comes,
The interpretation will be sure,
Agreement between multiple verses,
Is what we should be striving for.
