Synopsis:



Dear friends, as many of you will no doubt already be aware, only just yesterday -- May 8, 2026, Guam time -- the Trump administration, via the Department of War, released its very first trove of the government's long-hidden UAP/UFO-related files. I have already visited the official Department of War web page where this material can be freely viewed by the US public -- and I assume, the world -- without charge or any kind of limitation. Of course, like everyone else, I took a quick peek at what the US DOW is currently revealing to the public. As of this hour, there are seventeen pages available in the online archive, with a short list of downloadable PDF files, JPG images and MP4 videos on each page. US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, has stated that they will be releasing a new batch of files every few weeks as they are able to process them. If you have an interest in this subject -- who doesn't? -- please proceed to the following URL in your preferred web browser:

Of course, if you are primarily interested in the twenty-five short videos which the Department of War has already made available to the public as of this current date, you will be happy to know that I have taken the initiative by adding them to the end of this very same article. Simply click or tap on a specific link, and the video should open in a new tab in your web browser and play. At least that is what happens in Firefox on my Mac Studio.

And now, my friends, it is time for a bit of reality from my rather skeptical perspective. Yes, I am sorry, folks, but I am compelled to put a damper on everything for the alien-UFO crowd who at this moment are probably quite ecstatic, and jumping up and down for joy because the first trove of files has finally been released, and President Donald J. Trump has kept his word. The level of their excitement, anticipation and expectations is undoubtedly pretty high right now. As for me, I am not so sure that their current reaction is a good or beneficial thing. Allow me to now clearly explain to you why I feel this particular way.

Personally, I think that despite the current hoopla which is surrounding the Trump administration's release of this trove of UAP/UFO-related files, my suspicion is that when all is said and done, due to the actual quality and state of the file releases which are currently being made by the Trump Administration and the Department of War -- including poor image and video quality, not to mention annoying redactions in the PDF documents -- many people will STILL remain both dissatisfied and disappointed. Part of the problem is that a lot of people have set their expectations way to high with regard to this first release.

Having now personally reviewed all twenty-five of the video files myself, I can assure you that you will find most of them to be quite underwhelming, and as I said, they will NOT meet any of your expectations. This will be due largely to the fact that in this day and age where many millions of people own cell phones, regular cameras and video cameras which can take clear, sharp, high-resolution images, as well as shoot videos of the same quality, they expect military videos and images to be of the very same quality. Sorry, my friends, but not so. If you do not believe me, just look at the videos I have provided at the end of this article, and please notice the years when they were all shot. Every one of them was taken during the past thirteen years.

In fact -- I'll get just a little conspiratorial here -- it has occurred to me that perhaps this is precisely what the U.S. government -- meaning the Trump administration and the Department of War in this case -- want to happen. In other words, maybe they want the American public to look at all of these documents, photographs and videos -- particularly the videos -- and be disappointed by what they see. Trust me, my friends, when you look at some of them, you will in fact go "Meh! That is it? That is all you have got? That is what I have been so excited about and have waited to see for such a long time?" So, it is as if the government is saying "Yeah, that is all we have really got. There is really nothing all that exciting, is there? Now move along." That is exactly what a lot of people will do too. They'll just move along, lose interest in the alien-UFO phenomenon, and forget about it.

Aside from the low quality of the released material itself, the aforementioned PDFs, JPGs and MP4s which are currently being made available to the public probably will NOT add much new information to what is already known, or to what has already been rehashed over and over again ad nauseam down down through the decades. In other words, my friends, it is my opinion that the UAP/UFO conversation will pretty much remain the same. I will be pleasantly surprised if it is anything otherwise. I think the government would have to provide a lot more interesting material before the national conversation regarding UAPs/UFOs and intelligent alien life jumps to a higher gear. Yes, it is quite elevated right now, but how long will it remain there once people see what they have been offered with the current UAPs/UFOs file releases?

On a related note, I don't know for certain what may now be happening in each of your news feeds, but if it is anything like mine, I assume that lately, you have all been seeing an inordinate amount of alien-UFO disclosure related posts; and that began even before this first files release was made by the Department of War yesterday. I suspect -- but obviously cannot prove -- that this sudden deluge of alien-UFO material in our news feeds may possibly be by very intentional design on Facebook's part. After all, everyone has an agenda, right? There I go being a little conspiratorial again, which is NOT my usual modus operandi.

Not only that, but if you stop and think about it, if the U.S. government was preparing to make some kind of major UAP disclosure in the near future -- as has just occurred as of yesterday -- then it would only be logical and natural for them to want to use all of the major social networks to their advantage, being as collectively speaking, billions of people participate on the social networks on a daily basis. I mean, that amounts to easy mass coverage, right?

But how would the U.S. government use this online community consisting of billions of people worldwide to their advantage and exactly what for? Well, I would think that it would be to psychologically prepare people, and to kind of soften them up so that everyone will be much more willing to accept what the U.S. government has to say regarding the alien-UFO phenomenon, whatever that happens to be. In other words, they want us to accept their version of the UAP/UFO narrative. Of course, the Department of War website states that they are offering the materials to the public so that we each can make up our own minds regarding this issue.

However -- yes, here I go ahead -- if they are only going to release selected files, photos and videos, and not the really "good stuff" -- meaning high-quality material -- I must truly wonder. As I noted earlier, maybe the government is actually hoping that the general public will lose interest, so that they -- meaning the American government -- can be about their business with less scrutiny on their more secretive projects.

So as I mentioned earlier, whether or not this current action by the Trump administration will be a really substantial and meaningful UAP/UFO disclosure which will significantly enhance what the public already knows about the subject remains to be seen. After all, we all know — or at least should know -- how the government just loves to string along the public, creating anticipation and false hope, only to do absolutely nothing in the end, leaving everyone disappointed. Either that, or what they actually end up doing or releasing, fails to meet the public's expectations, as we have already discussed.

However, as I said, perhaps I will turn out to be wrong, and we will all be surprised, even though thus far I've not been very impressed by the quality of the material which has been released as of yesterday. Yet I do recognize that this time around, the UAP/UFO situation does appear to be significantly different, because there are a number of top-tier government officials who are currently making some rather bold and very public claims regarding the alien-UFO phenomenon, which would NEVER have occurred even a few decades ago. These, of course, include U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, U.S. Representative for the state of Tennessee Tim Burchett, U.S. Representative for the state of Florida Anna Paulina Luna and a number of other "in-the-know" individuals.

I think that many of you who are paying attention realize that there seems to be a very concerted effort and public campaign to prepare the American public for something big, which may possibly be on the horizon. Please note that I do emphasize the word POSSIBLY. Of course, at the same time, my level of skepticism compels me to say that in total contrast, it could just as easily turn out that absolutely nothing of significance happens, and that the current alien-UFO hype is all just a government ploy, a red herring and a distraction to divert our attention from something else which maybe the government doesn't want us to see or notice. You may fill in the blank as you feel led.

In short, personally, I am not expecting an alien spacecraft to land on the White House lawn anytime in the near future. In other words, it won't be the Vulcans landing and greeting us Earthlings with "Live long and prosper", for all you Star Trek aficionados. Neither do I expect little four-foot, gray Zeta Reticulans to pop out of their spacecraft and proceed to shake hands with President Trump. Do you?

While I have gotten a wee bit conspiratorial in this current article, please understand that I am really not a conspiracy theorist, and devoting much time to discussing these types of questionable and unsubstantiated things is NOT what I am about, as both the contents of my social network posts, and the contents of my Bill's Bible Basics website make rather evident. Yes, I certainly discuss these topics, because they do need to be discussed just like everything else. However, I discuss these issues from a purely analytical point of view, and I do NOT make it my regular practice to ever promote such unfounded Internet rumors and conspiracy theories. That is the difference.

The fact is that there are already plenty of people who delve into the conspiracy theory angle of the alien-UFO phenomenon, and they have all kinds of pet theories and weird beliefs and very strange doctrines which they like to promote. So if you are interested in that sort of thing, you are free to visit THEIR websites if that is your personal preference and cup of tea.

However, what I will say concerning the noticeably high-level U.S. government officials who have been rather vocal lately regarding the UAP/UFO issue is the following. As many of my older readers will no doubt already know, a few decades ago, such people who spoke of aliens and UFOs would have been very seriously mocked, derided, ridiculed and regarded as deranged loons. They would have been viewed as being on the fringe of society, and perhaps lacking a few screws. My friends, that was simply the mentality that prevailed during that time. To be sure, no respectable person of intelligence and education would dare make such bold, serious statements regarding the alien and UFO phenomenon, particularly if they happened to be a respectable government official. Back then, everyone "knew" that it was all simply science fiction for the purposes of entertainment, right?

But what a change we see occurring today! It is fair to say that the tables have been completely turned! As we all know, now it is commonplace -- and quite acceptable -- for someone to openly admit that they believe in and accept that other intelligent life forms more than likely exist throughout our vast Universe. The most challenging question now seems to be whether or not such alien civilizations are in possession of advanced technology which is beyond our human understanding, and if so, if it allows them to visit our planet, despite the physical impossibilities and the many light years of distance which separate us from each other.

Of course, at the same time, I already know, and I am quite aware of the fact that many of my Christian brethren who are reading this article are absolutely convinced that if these aliens or inter-dimensional beings really do exist, then they are most certainly Fallen Angels or demons who are purposely deceiving mankind by pretending to be something -- aliens — which they are not. Personally, as I explain in some of my other Bill's Bible Basics articles -- please refer to the articles list which is found at the end of this same article -- I believe that the UAP/UFO situation is much more complex than what these other Christians choose to believe or accept.

As such, I believe that it is not wise to consign everything to one possibility -- meaning demonic origin -- and ONLY to one possibility and explanation. I think that adopting that kind of rigid position where a person is not even willing to consider other possibilities and perhaps even simultaneously true possibilities, is to be both narrow-minded, as well as short-sighted, because for one thing, it shuts down the discussion entirely.

Of course, I most certainly do consider the aforementioned opinion that aliens may possibly be deceptive demons as one possible explanation for the alien-UFO phenomenon. In fact, I discuss it at length in my series entitled "Nature of the Alien: ETs, Demons or a Government Plot?". Nevertheless, I still prefer to NOT be so dogmatic or so deeply entrenched in my views, that I am not willing to consider some other possibilities, in addition to the demon explanation, which I in fact do in the aforementioned series. In short, I prefer to keep an open mind until such time when more is known and revealed.

As I mentioned earlier, and as some of my longtime readers will already be aware, over the decades I have given quite a bit of thought to the alien-UAP/UFO phenomenon, the results of which has been a considerable volume of BBB articles and series where I amply discuss my personal views regarding the issue. Again, please refer to the articles list which you will find at the end of this same article.

But to continue, what I really wanted to say to you in this article is the following. As this current government UAP/UFO public disclosure continues, I urge all of my online friends -- and Christian friends in general -- to please proceed with extreme caution. Listen carefully to what the government and the U.S. military have to say, weigh each and every word, and most importantly, ask the Lord to give you the wisdom and the spiritual discernment so that you can properly understand what is being stated directly by these officials, and also what is possibly being implied. Do NOT accept anything at face value. Question their motives. Ask God to reveal to you what is true and what is not true in their words.

Equally important, my friends, please do NOT allow yourselves to be overcome by a spirit of fear and anxiety, regardless of what may possibly be revealed in the coming days, weeks and months. Claim God's peace in your life, and His protection as well. Following are a number of related Bible verses for your personal consideration and encouragement:

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

"So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."


So, my dear friends, the previous paragraphs are my current thoughts concerning this ongoing U.S. government UAP/UFO disclosure project. I hope that the aforementioned advice has been helpful to you in some way. Just remember, God remains in complete control of the situation, and He loves you dearly.
