You say you’re okay without Jesus,
And everything is perfectly fine,
You insist you’re a good person,
Who never crosses the moral line.
You boast your life is going well,
You’ve got a job, family and friends,
But there is one thing to consider,
What happens when your life ends.
Yes, our life on Earth is important,
God put us each here for a reason,
But after a certain number of years,
We will reach the end of our season.
Our earthly existence will fade away,
And into eternity we shall each go,
Where we will face the big question,
It’s something we really need to know.
For stripped of our earthly garment,
Before the great God we shall stand,
The record books will then be opened,
And an account the Lord will demand.
Now you can speak of your goodness,
All the wonderful things you’ve done,
But in the end it will all be worthless,
If you never acknowledged God’s Son.
Though you thought yourself righteous,
God’s standard is higher than yours,
Thus after you have given your speech,
The Angels will show you to the doors.
So shocked by this unexpected outcome,
You may protest as you’re carried away,
Please don’t let this be your own story,
Be smart and accept Jesus Christ today.
It’s six hundred poems now since 2014,
Some are short but others not so lean.
It is so amazing how many I have done,
Playing with words can be so much fun.
But in each poem a message I convey,
Have you heard what I have had to say?
Some are funny while others can be sad,
They will make you think or maybe mad.
But regardless the Gospel is preached,
God only knows how many I’ve reached.
I’ll write more as the Lord may inspire,
Maybe I’ll get that number even higher.

Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? If you are an avid student of prophecy, then you will know that in Daniel and the Book of Revelation, we are told that the Beast stops the Daily Sacrifice in the Temple, sets up the Abomination of Desolation, blasphemes against God, and persecutes the Saints of the Most High God for a period of three and a half Jewish years. This period is mentioned in these prophetic books as the following:
1. “forty-two months”
2. “1,260 days”
3. “time and times and the dividing of time” (3 1/2)
4. “time, times, and an half” (3 1/2)
The Prophet Daniel also mentions a 1,290 day period, as well as a 1,335 day period. This latter time span is the same as 44.4 Jewish months at thirty days each, while the 1,290 days equals exactly forty-three Jewish months. Following are the specific verses where these time spans are mentioned in both Daniel and Revelation. I have added a few words in brackets in order to clarify what is being said:
“And he [the Beast] shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” Daniel 7:25, KJV
“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he [the Beast] shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” Daniel 12:7, KJV
“And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.” Daniel 12:11-12, KJV
“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” Revelation 11:2-3, KJV
“And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” Revelation 12:6, KJV
“And there was given unto him [the Beast] a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” Revelation 13:5-7, KJV
