Our church is so dead, we need a plan,
So give me some new ideas, if you can.
Well, let’s talk about everything but sin,
Then some new churchgoers we will win.
Maybe if some strobe lights we can offer,
They will all come and fill up our coffer.
While we’re at it, let’s crack a few jokes,
After all, we gotta loosen up those folks.
And don’t forget musicians for the crowd,
Even hard rock music should be allowed.
But no Bible, let’s sell our books instead,
We need cash, our church is in the red.
Let’s be real liberal and marry the gays,
It’s a new century, so we need new ways.
Great ideas guys, this will all work fine,
Has your church stepped so out of line?
As many of my Christian friends will already know, the Bible informs us that God’s Word is very powerful. It cuts through everything and reveals the thoughts and intents of our hearts, as we read in the following verse:
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12, KJV
Yet despite this Biblical truth, it really saddens me to come across so many Christian social network pages, where while the author of the page may generally talk about God, Jesus and the Bible to a certain degree, they rarely, if ever, actually quote directly from the Scriptures.
In other words, it is all just their own human words. Or maybe they share reel, after reel, after reel. But again, as far as God’s straight Word is concerned, where a person can read Bible verses right there on that page, there is very little or nothing at all.
Personally, I tend to think very differently. My view is summarized in the following two verses:
“. . . For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” Psalm 119:89, KJV
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Psalm 138:2, KJV
It is for that reason, that while I also post a lot of graphics which contain my own words, just like my Bill Bible Basics articles and series, many more of my social network posts contain the straight Word of God; particularly my KJV Bible Verse Lists.
My friends, God’s Word is much more powerful than anything you and I could ever say. It is what touches hearts and changes lives. I encourage all of you to share more of the straight truth of the Scriptures — via actual Bible verses — on your social network pages.

In this world, fame and fortune is the game,
But rich or poor, our end will be the same.
Whether we die young, or last and grow old,
We all end up six feet under, dead and cold.
There is more, than what the world can give,
God’s desire, is that for eternity we live.
But to do so, we must partake of His Grace,
Believe in Jesus, and run in His great race.
The Angels cheer us on, as we live each day,
Listen closely, and you may hear them say:
Strive for your Crown, it is all you can do,
Strive for your Crown, He commands you to.
Contrary to the popular Roman Catholic trinity doctrine which erroneously claims that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are “co-equal”, the Bible actually teaches that Jesus was, and still remains, subservient to His Father. Furthermore, the Scriptures plainly teach us that God the Father is greater than all, and above all. This obviously means that the Father is also greater than Jesus, as Jesus Himself declared. Jesus NEVER claimed to be God. This is a modern misunderstanding of certain verses.
“One God and Father of all, WHO IS ABOVE ALL, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:6, KJV
“My Father, which gave them me, is GREATER THAN ALL; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:29, KJV
“Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for MY FATHER IS GREATER THAN I.” John 14:28, KJV
“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; AND THE HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD.” 1 Corinthians 11:3, KJV
“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; AND TO MY GOD, and your God.” John 20:17, KJV
“Then cometh the end, when he [Jesus] shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he [Jesus] shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he [Jesus] must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he [God the Father] is excepted, which did put all things under him [under Jesus]. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, [unto Jesus] then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him [unto God the Father] that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:24-28, KJV
“Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, YET LEARNED HE OBEDIENCE by the things which he suffered;” Hebrews 5:7-8, KJV
“And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless NOT MY WILL, BUT THINE, BE DONE.” Luke 22:41-42, KJV
“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I SEEK NOT MINE OWN WILL, BUT THE WILL OF THE FATHER WHICH HATH SENT ME.” John 5:30, KJV

You say that you are a Progressive,
And Left is how we all should think,
But when you condone killing babies,
