Within Christianity, the amillennial method of interpreting the Book of Revelation holds the view that there will be no literal Millennium; rather, amillennialists view the 1,000-year period that is mentioned in Revelation chapter twenty, as representing the entire span of time from the First Coming of Jesus Christ during the First Century, to His Second Coming sometime in the future. Amillennialists also view the contents of the Book of Revelation as being primarily symbolic in nature, as does most of Eastern Christianity.
